Facebook:Interested in: Men or Women?

    So, I was just on facebook. I was looking through my profile and I noticed somewhere it said I was interested in Women. I then thought that since I'm openly gay I changed it to interested in Men. I'm basically out to everyone except for my extended family, who I am planning to tell. For those of you that have facebook, did you put that you are interested in (the gender you are interested in) or did you not bother with that part of your profile?

    I left it blank until I was out to everyone that mattered, then I changed it to men.

    Ever since I began to grasp that I was actually gay, I decided not to click anything, I didnt want to say I was gay, but I didnt want to say I was straight either. Then a few months ago I decided I would check "men", because no one probably looks at it anyway; then I started getting gay hook-up ads on my newsfeed. So its back to basics again.

    I left that one blank like someone already mentioned above, I don't want people to think I'm straight but I also don't want people to find out that I'm interested in women either. I'm honestly shocked that my close friends and family don't know the truth yet...how nieve of them lol

    I put it as interested in women for a while I kept it to people couldn't view that part but once I was fully out I switched it to public.

    I put both, even tho I am gay. Reason being, I want to out myself to people in person, not by them cyberstalking me. This way they can ask!

    When I first signed up when I was twelve I put interested in men. Not because I was lying on purpose, but because I assumed I would like men eventually. After I started questioning myself I left it blank. When I was identifying as bi I said that I liked men and women. Nobody seemed to notice or care. After I started questioning whether I was actually into guys or not I made it blank again. I'm kind of tempted to put women, but I don't think I will until I'm sure of myself.

    The way my FB unfolded was that I had made it in 2008, deactivated it shortly after (started building a wall) and hadn't touched it until a little over a year ago. I reactivated it, updated all my shit and set my preferance for men. That let me come out to all my highschool friends. I think it was set to blank before I reactivated it.

    it`s blank I go on facebook as my brothers are there as well as friends who are gay & straight have also joined a few gay groups via facebook .
