Use a lot of lube and go very slow.

    It will hurt if:
    1.) You want it to.
2.) You are doing it wrong, rushing it, or you are not relaxed. "Doing it wrong" includes not using (enough) lube.
3.) Your partner is a sadist and enjoys hurting you. Acceptable only in combination with #1; otherwise, get a new partner.
4.) Your partner just doesn't care if it hurts you. Possibly worse than #3. Get a different partner.

You do not have a hymen, and there should not be blood.

Make sure you have a partner who cares if it hurts you. Make sure you have enough lube. Make sure you are prepared to speak up if something hurts, so it will stop. Make sure you and your partner are familiar with anatomy.

I was very fortunate at 22 my partner moved in very slowly and carefully. It took about a full 8 minutes for him to get completely in. I wouldn't say the feeling was painful but it was definitely uncomfortable. I was almost ready to have him pull out and give up until the most exquisite wave of pleasure overtook me throughout my body. It impossible to describe. Otherworldly.
