(I know I've made threads asking about my sexuality before. I'm still confused and trying to find what group I fit into.) I've been wondering for a while if I just liked guys or if I was bi.*I've noticed that the two girls I've gotten crushes on look pretty androgynous, or feminine with some masculine mixed in. The first one, who is a lesbian, dresses in masculine clothes and talks with a lower voice. The second one, who is bi, has a quite feminine body but short, boy-ish hair, with sharp facial features. So they both have noticeably androgynous characteristics. And I've noticed that I've never felt attraction to girls that look stereotypically just feminine (with all of these: feminine body, medium to long hair, soft facial features). And I like guys (most types, ranging from very masculine to very feminine). So does this sound like I'm bi or just a person who likes guys but has had two girl exceptions? They looked kinda boyish, after all.
Even if they look more masculine they are still girls so I think it still counts. I mean, some lesbians, for instance, are only attracted to more masculine girls but they're still lesbians because they are still attracted to girls. To me it sounds like you are attracted to masculinity in general and whether it's a boy or a girl who's masculine doesn't seem to matter so much. Back when I thought I was straight I once, consciously, experienced attraction to a girl for the first time and she looked quite masculine so I was kind of in denial about it and told myself that "she looks a bit like a guy so it doesn't really count" when in reality it did. Now, I'm not saying that you're definitely bi, because only you can truly know that, but I wouldn't say that you're only into guys.
Thanks for your advice. Is there a term for that, being attracted to masculinity whether a man or woman shows it? I would say androsexual but I thought that's just for masculine men and not masculine women.
No problem, I'm glad I could help. Perhaps this is what you're looking for: Androphilia and gynephilia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
