I have been thinking about it more now that I am somewhat an adult and I think I am still undecided. I mean, I am too young to take care of a child but I think while I reckon I can reason with kids, I would have trouble giving discipline. I am too heavy hearted to ever want to restrict a kid to my life expectations and depression.

Absolutely not. I hate little children. 8 and over I can deal with, but not any younger than that.

No. When I was younger I always thought I would, one day at some hypothetical future time when I had become a person who wanted children, but ten years on nothing has changed in how I feel. I don't dislike my friends' kids, I like spending time with them but am always very happy to give them back at the end of the day and have no maternal urges whatsoever. Practically, the expense and commitment is another reason not to have children but I'm sure if I really wanted them it wouldn't be that big a deal. I do worry that I'll change my mind when I'm 40 and it'll be too late though.

I want a mini me and I would name her Kaylie and we'd be bffs for life.

But I would be a bad mama cuz I'd smoke her out and encourage a lot of bad habits....

    Oh well.

    No, because
    1) humans are destroying the environment, and
    2) I don't want to put the effort into raising a human being

I've always known i wanted kids.
It's one of the reasons i'm finding it difficult to accept being gay!

I have wanted kids in periods. Once I even sent an application for insemination for singles but I realised I didn't want to when it started to get real. Right now - NO. And my boyfriend is much older than me (and has no kids) and doesn't want kids either so we're on the same team there. As transgender ftm I can still get pregnant and I didn't want to sterilise myself and still don't want to, I want to keep the opportunity if I ever change my mind.

You can still have kids if your gay. Especially biological kids, if that's what you'd want. You would just need a woman willing to donate an egg, or be a surrogate.
You can also adopt if you want a kid.

True. I've just always feared making it difficult for a child. Schools are hard places to get through, kids can be brutal! I guess ive just always been afraid bringing a kid up to have a gay parent would make life difficult for the kid. Although i have nothing to base that on except my own assumptions!

For what it’s worth, this kids I’ve seen being raised by two moms all seem pretty great. Granted, that’s in the midwestern US. Maybe if you ever get to meet lgbt families in your area, you can chat and see how it is for them.

I want to adopt someday. Ideally an older child like 10+. Both because I don’t think I’ll find a partner anytime soon and I’m 27 and also I don’t want a baby. I love babies I just don’t want to ever be pregnant or raise a newborn. So I want kids just not a baby. At least not alone. I would reconsider parenting a baby if my significant other wanted one. I still wouldn’t be the one to have it. But I have a feeling I’ll end up alone so adoption will probably be what will happen. In the distant future.

Sort of. I don't trust myself to be a good parent.

99.99% no. MAYBE if the opportunity came where I had a partner who already had kids, like school age, then maybe I would consider it. I don't do diapers. I certainly don't want any biological kids. I have some genes I don't want passed down. I feel creating a child with my DNA would be child abuse.

I want a family, but I'm not sure I can be an adequate parent. I'm scared my sexuality will lead to them getting bullied at school.

Im unsure. I love children and can be good with kids. They are very hard work. Some think play time is all the time and cant take discipline. It is stressful and depends if you can keep up that responsibility as they do grow older. Like i would love if my children could depend on me even when theyre adults... but adulthood can be a struggle.

    I love pets though.

I like kids and I definitely love when I can visit my sisters and see my nieces and nephews. I would just rather not have any of my own.

No to have my own kids, mainly because I think the world is too populated. lol... But I do love kids, a lot, just don't think I would want to have my own.
