Do you think that music tastes says anything about sexual orientation?

    Is listening to a lot of music from popular female artists something you would mostly expect from gay men or do you see that as just a stereotype?

    Do you know any straight guys who do listen to a wide range of music from female artists?

    Stereotype. Plenty of straight guys love Madonna, Ariana, Lady Gaga, etc.

    Certain female 'divas' seem to be popular with gay men. But 'female artists' is sort of a wide net. I think a 17 year old Brittany Spears was popular with a lot of straight guys :slight_smile:

    Hello All.....I don't think that anybody in our LGBTQ+ Family are automatically fans of any particular type of music or of any specific musician. I been a musician all of my life. I play all of the wind instruments, most of the percussion instruments and several of the stringed instruments. I'm gay and I love all types of music and many different performers. Some of histories most famous musicians were queer...Tchaikovsky was gay and he was certainly not the only one! I think it's a stereotype although it does seem that more than normal gay guys tend to like specific female singers.
