do you think glasses make someone less attractive?

Quite the contrary. I think glasses are hot, whether on a guy or girl. And while my face shape is well suited and benefited from glasses, I do not need them as I have perfect vision.

I think glasses on women are very sexy. With men, I am indifferent.

I wear glasses and I don't notice a shift in my appearance with or without them. But this thread's argument is invalid because it's like asking if shirts make you look less attractive... Some shirts do, some don't. Obviously someone with that stereotypical 90s poindexter thick rimmed frame is gonna look a bit awry, but so is someone who wears a granny nightgown..

I don't like big clunky glasses or hipster glasses

Most glasses look fine. Some look cool or even badass

I don't have a glasses fetish. People look more vulnerable without glasses

People have many different preferences. If somebody gives me unwanted fashion advice, then I laugh and/or return the favour

 

I wear glasses. Have since I was about 6 years old. My first glasses looked dorky, and I'd go through periods of not wearing them (I'm farsighted, so I could see really well without them anyway). These days I have graded multifocal lenses, and wear them nearly all the time.

Nowadays, there is so much choice around frames that I can't imagine anyone *not* looking fine in a carefully chosen pair of glasses. I agree with others who say they can actually *improve* your looks. And they can be sexy: think Alex Vauce from OitNB...but those same glasses would make me look dorky...so again, careful choice is key.

But that's like any other piece of clothing.

My partner wears contacts. She spends plenty of money on disinfectant and eyewash and all that...and now has disposable contacts that cost money as well. I've heard her shriek as she puts insufficiently rinsed contacts into her eyes...curse as she realizes she's putting them on inside out...complain about dryness, soreness, redness. I don't have such issues. She thinks she looks terrible in glasses. I disagree...I think she looks fine (she has a pair for emergencies)...I think maybe she could pick more attractive frames, but I don't think there's anything seriously wrong with what she has. But despite all the hassle, she prefers contacts. Fine by me. Just don't shriek in my ear, please. And keep those complaints to yourself.

 

I'm in the pro-glasses camp. I actually think they're hot. Also I wear them because life is a big blur without them.

 

No. there are some things that can make a guy look less attractive, f.e: clean shaven face, too long hair/too short (bald head), but glasses isn't one of them.

 

I prefer myself with contacts 100%. I ran out of contacts a couple years ago and refused to go to school for a day cause I wouldn't wear my glasses lol. It depends but most of the time I think people look better without them.

 

As a rule, no, it does not make someone look less attractive. It really does depend on the person (and the glasses), but no, not a turn-off.

Personally, I've had to wear glasses for the last ten years and I think I look better in them, and I know of other people who look better with them on, too.

 

Depends on the person and what style glasses they wear. Some glasses can make people look really sexy, cute or sophisticated. It's all about finding the right style.

 

Depending on the type of glasses worn, I think it can make a girl look extremely attractive. I much prefer seeing smaller glasses as opposed to the bigger, more rounded ones I see some people wear.

 

I love glasses. I doesn't matter for me if you wear them or not, you still look beautiful ^^

I personally wear glasses all day at school, although I don't need to wear them all the time, it's easier to have them on so I don't have to grab them from my bag and potentially lose them.

Eye contacts seem uncomfortable :c

 

It depends on the person and the style glasses. Oh I've seen glasses on some girls that just...OMG'ddss! and the same for guys.

 

Girls with glasses are so cuuuuuute! My personal preference for girls is a little more plump, short, and with glasses and like totally nerdy and cute!! I'm really confident so I think a nerdy girl would totally work with me. Girls with glasses are adorable!

But, when not suiting their face (talking about the models of glasses and yes this is a subjective opinion) can make them look silly, but not less attractive to me.

 

Idk I mean I don't wear contacts or glasses but whenever I wear other people's glasses they always tell me I look good in them.

 

I like the way glasses look on others.
