Yes. I'm very, very libertarian. I think the ideal form of government is only to protect rights, manage monetary policy, education, and national defense--thus my ideal society would have no welfare, decriminalization of drugs, absolutely no gun regulation, and complete freedom of association. Most of that stuff is pretty unpopular.

I don't usually talk about that though, publicly I'll support limited-government conservatives for pragmatism (even though I dislike pragmatism in general).

I'm a far left liberal in a far left state (by U.S. standards at least) so that's one thing. On the other hand, I'm anti-Netanyahu (but not anti-Israel) in a state where the governor has placed harsh sanctions on businesses that help Palestinians or place boycotts and divest from Israel. I'm also vegan in a country where even doing something as simple as handing out leaflets about the vegan message can land you on the terrorist watch-list.

I'm politically quite conservative, but socially liberal. Probably leaning libertarian. Socially, I support LGBT people but do not promote policies such as abortion or the death penalty.

I'm a UK Labour Party supporter who thinks Jeremy Corbyn is a complete liability, so that doesn't go down well. I'm also opposed to assisted dying, which seems to go against the trend in the UK.

Did you see the thing about Jeremy Corbyn where he shot a video on the floor of a train to talk about overcrowding, saying the train was 'ram packed' and then CCTV shows him walking back up the train and sitting down comfortabley in a chair on the news last night? That made me chuckle.
    That was long winded...

Wel generally speaking people in the UK are at least left leaning, if not very left, so being and 'extreme neutralist' ( a term I heard coined on some video) could be classed as controversial. The left has some good answers, the left has bad answers and the same applies with the right. It's cliché to say, but not everything is black and white, it's in human nature to be a hazy shade of gray. Earlier in this thread somebody said something about 'right wing populist scum', but not all people with right wing viewa are going to be like that, only a vocal minority. Not everybody that's a republican is donald trump, and not every democrat is a 'far out inbred lesbian stoner' or whatever the extreme right beleive.

    But what do I know, I'm 14 and I can't even vote.

Yes I did and he made it even worse by getting tetchy when a reporter challenged him about it during a press conference.

As a matter of fact, I agree with his policy of re-nationalising the railways, but he undermined it, and his own credibility as a supposedly decent man, by telling a blatant lie. The train he was travelling on was not "ram-packed" at all. I've rarely seen an east coast train with so many empty seats.

I'm afraid this is a clear example of his shortcomings as Labour leader, but his supporters don't see it. They're living in a bubble.

As a Texan, I am a Democrat (Texas is solid Republican). I don't agree with all Democrat points, but until the Republicans get their heads out of their asses, I can't possibly vote for them. As a Democrat I'm also generally pro 2nd Amendment (with limitations). As a person with an economics degree, I sometimes disagree with Keynesian theories.

I vote for the Greens, which is somewhat popular in more populated areas but much less so in more rural ones. I don't think extremism in either direction is good and they are pretty center in my country plus very LGBT-friendly, so they are an easy choice for me.

I consider myself more left than right however if I were to be compared to some people in my city I would probably be labeled a die hard liberal or a communist.

My political views are more on the moderate side, and yes, this is often highly unpopular. I'm accused of fence-sitting (I actually have firm opinions on most issues, they just may not be the opinions you want to hear) and both sides frequently demand that I take their side and abandon the opinions that more resemble the other side. Why should I settle for a more extreme side when both sides suck to the extent that they do?

I'm an atheist in a country where 76% of people identify as Christians. 20% as in the "nones" category, but only 4% say they are atheists.
Abortion and LGBT rights are gaining popularity in America, but I live in the Bible Belt so my opinions are unpopular there.
I am against the death penalty and solitary confinement.
An extremely unpopular "opinion" that I hold is that you can be something other than a male or a female. Maybe you're both, neither, fluid, whatever. But here, that "belief" in only a gender binary is much more popular.

Anarchist, pro-feminist, trans activist, anti-militarist, vegan... so yeah, most of that is pretty unpopular in any country. Can't say I'm being particularly oppressed, except for the being trans and looking like a queer woman thing.

Conservative. Though looking at the last election, that's not as unpopular as its made to look.

I usually side with UKIP, who are quite popular but the first-past-the-post system means they only have one MP. Obviously, I want a stricter immigration system: lots of people are at least concerned about immigrants, and if I could have voted in the EU referendum I would have been in the 52%. I'm strongly for capital punishment, which I think most people are against (not really sure). I am for the reintroduction of grammar schools, an opinion that seems to be getting more common.

I am a Unitarian universalist. I also wish that we could come together as a species and not just countries. So probably have a single common universal government under which countries function as states , like the USA. Yea we have the UN but that's not enough. I also believe that governments should be selected by a complex psychoanalytic process and should contain well trained individuals. Voting is just not enough! Very idealistic but could solve a lot of problems.

I think only the military and police need guns.
