I missed it myself, but I'm watching a few highlights and catching up. From what I've heard they really grilled Clinton on her paid speeches, and of course she tried to weasle out of the question. She really doesn't want anyone knowing what she said there. Makes you wonder what she's hiding.

He blamed Hilary for talking about raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour even though that socialist did to! Ugh he is such a liar!

*has now watched the full debate*

No actually he called her out for saying she wanted to raise the minimum wage to $12 an hour, but then turning around and acting like she was all on board with the $15 idea when NY did it on the state level. He's never lied about his position on this. He said $15 from day one and that hasn't changed. With Hilary her policy changes depending on what day of the week it is.

Also Bernie did what he said and released his 2014 tax returns, wonder if Clinton will release her transcripts.

No, but since I follow like all the feminists on Twitter, I saw their sickening, uncritical support for Hillary. It's quite fine if they want to support Hillary over Bernie because they find her more qualified, or if they think that she's more realistic (read: more ready to pander to America's low-solidarity, undecided, bigot voters we politely call "moderates"). I just want them to admit that, in supporting Hillary Clinton, they are fundamentally admitting that, in the name of feminism, they want the Party to nominate its more conservative candidate and thereby signal to the country that the Democrats are more pusillanimous and unprincipled than ever.

There's no point in winning an election if you have to concede human rights principles because too many old white males are in the Senate. I thought we already learned this lesson from Obama's presidency.

Why does anyone care if she releases the transcripts or not? Remember, Democratic Party base plays much more defensively than the Republican Party base. It's actually possible to piss off Evangelic voters, and they stay home. The Democratic base on the other hand would vote for just about any despicable person who won the primary just because they assume she or he must necessarily be better than the Republican candidate. This election cycle is the unfortunate result of years off "lesser evil" voting.

Let's say that she does release the transcripts, and they look bad for her image. It'll make maybe one or two news cycles, the Huff Post will write about it, but the Democrats will forget about it. They will vote for, or super delegates will select her anyway, because "at least Hillary is not a socialist."

The Democrats need to lose this election if they are hellbent on selecting Hillary. For the simple reason that there's no point in Hillary winning if she's literally one point to the left of the Republican candidates' median.

I care because I want to know exactly what is in them, so do a lot of liberals right now. People are getting fed up with the current state of politics, and that's why Bernie is doing so well right now. A lot of voters ( especially new and young voters ) are finally starting to get more active and involved in politics.

Right now at the capital people are gathered in protest of our corrupted political system and fighting for something better. Sadly you don't hear about that protest much on the mainstream news, but it's happening. They made a record for most arrests at the capital and the mainstream media won't talk about them, but they are still going =3

I think people on both sides are fed up. I don't much care for Trump ( For obvious reasons ) but his success and the success of Sanders I think speaks a lot to the state of things and just how sick and tired voters are getting of Establishment politics.

Well, I think you already know the truth of their contents, right? Whatever their content, they will tell you that she is a corporate tool. Did we any have prior doubts about that? We know that she won't release the transcripts because doing so will destabilize her candidacy. Her hiding and resisting tells us what we need to know.

I'm just disappointed at the fact that, just because Hillary is running, some feminists have suddenly dropped all the radicalism and intersectionality and picked up embarrassing "power feminism" politics straight out of the 1970s and 1980s. We're living out some serious Third Wave Minus One bullshit. These feminists no longer resemble the people who made me feel welcome and protected as a bisexual genderqueer. They are simply people who got coopted by party politics.

As to people being disappointed with the Establishment, I agree with you that's the case. I think it's true because the country is tearing itself apart more than usual. People were talking about how polarized our politics were in 2000 to 2004! What a sick joke! For a time, it seemed the America was poised to have a democratic socialist go toe-to-toe with a guy just as authoritarian as Sir Oswald Mosley, but much more tasteless! Now, I don't actually mind polarization. People think polarization is bad because that's meanie face, and if only we could be more bipartisan, our politics would shit lilacs and rainbows. The economy would turn around, and people would be more "accepting" (puke), without the status quo changing in any substantial way. What bothers me is, if the country is going to be so divergent, with America's right wing going farther to the right, the very last strategy in the entire world that the Democrats should be exploring is "blending in." That just legitimizes what the GOP and its racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic base wants to do.

Gosh, you're right! Let's get Ruth Bader Ginsburg off the bench immediately. I mean, she's like 83!

I just about muted it after ten minutes. They give the same answers to the same questions every single debate, and Thursday's debate degraded into a screaming match that sounded like a Republican debate. Have we really sunk that low?

Didn't see the whole debate, but I went to the Sanders rally in Washington Sq Park on Wednesday. It was beautiful. Honestly, everyone was so nice. Granted they were all stoned or had contact highs from the smoky air. But even when impassioned arguments among the attendees flared up (a Sanders supporter claimed Trump would make a better president than Clinton) the dialogue never went above 50 or 60 decibels.

Of course we know what's in those transcripts, but right now she can deflect to her supporters and weasle out of the obvious truth. If we had the transcripts we would have something her followers would have no choice, but to acknowledge.

Honestly the blind support of Hilary Clinton sort of falls right in line with my usual complaints about feminism. They drop individualism and only judge people on arbitrary circumstances of birth. That's digression though.

The democrat establishment shills want us to go further to the right. The further right you go the less funding education gets, and the more tax breaks/cuts the top 1% get. Bascially the further right the establishment can push us the better in their minds.
