OK, I'm gonna try a poll, about dice! What's your least favorite one to roll, in gaming? For me, the d4. I mean, it has 4 sides, and can not really be said to even roll...it just kinda plops down. I tend to like the 10 and 12 sided ones best.

    How about you?

I agree with you. The d4 can't even roll unless you gurl it to the ground. I'm not a fan. Haha.

The d6 is too generic, imo.

I always thought the d4 was kinda cool...unique, interesting. Not my favorite (yeah, ok, because of the chunky plop...who likes a chunky plop?), but definitely not my least.

My actual least favorite die to roll was not an option. I have exactly one of that rare creature, the elusive d30. I have almost never used it, and do not look for opportunities. The critter feels heavy enough to dent a table, and it has so many sides it rolls and rolls, and simply cannot be contained. I also hate the fact that it (like the d10) is a Platonic impossibility (damn it, the *only* Platonic solids are the d4, d6, d8, d12, and d20!).

Favorites have always been d8, d10, d20. Each has its own special coolness. There's something about the spin you can put on a d8 when you let it go...the whole double d10 percentage thing just tickled me when I was young, so that's cool. And the d20 has all the cool properties of the d30 (heft, roundness, a bit of a roll) without taking them to the stupid extremes of the Die That Never Caught On.

    *shudders in horror*

I totally forgot about the d30!

D4. Not only is it difficult to deal with (doesn't really roll well) but it always has the least potential for excitement. It does look cool though hehe.

I said d4 but it shares its dispitefull spot with d100.

Hmmm speaking from my current DDO adventures I can say I even hate d100 more. Whenever there is a heal check for bleeding I keep rolling 90s, whenever it is an important roll it is always below 20... d100 is the cruelest tool of fate.

My favorite is d20. It is a classic and usually orange... I love orange.

d4s need a weird throw, yeah. They're also the worst to step on.

D8, and nothing about the design bothers me or anything I just have a hard time wit the stupid thing! Whenever I need a D10 or a percentile die I keep accidentally pulling a D8 out instead, and whenever I need a D8 for something I can never find the little bastard! I don't even grab D10s by mistake, the D8 just freaking disappears! So.... Yeah I just have crappy luck with D8s xD

D4s are my least favorite, for all the obvious reasons.

I always roll terribly on a d6. My numenera recovery rolls suck an improbable amount of ass.
