I work for a big multinational corporation. I did a double-take last week when I noticed the rainbow flag on the flag post in front of our building! The company often makes statements about diversity and inclusion, but it always seemed LGBTQ was as afterthought, behind gender and race. This time it's LGBTQ front-and-center! That makes me proud and gives me hope. A couple of days ago, I stopped to look at the flags. The air was very still, and the American flag hung down wrapping around the rainbow flag. It was as if the American flag was embracing and protecting the rainbow flag, and I thought, "Yes. That's how it should be".
