Two weeks ago I came out to my friends during our holiday. I didn't know what to expect, but I was so close to a breakdown that I just had to tell them. Let's just say that they weren't unsupportive. Anyway, knowing that I wouldn't be crucified for being gay I found it easier to be myself in front of them. It also helped me be more open when I got back to town; I didn't feel embarrassed to buy a gay mag, or to go to the gay village. Anyway, that's my story (or a chapter, whatever you think this is).
