Decided to listen to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, which I haven't listened to in a long time.

I am not a classical music buff in any way but am definitely an enthusiast. I played the saxophone, alto/tenor/bari when I was in school. I haven't kept up with it, though, since graduating but I certainly miss it!

Would Eric Whitacre be considered classical? His choral pieces are gorgeous.

Ondine - from Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit. Played by Jean-Yves Thibaudet, who happens to be gay!

Yes. I do like classical music despite my username :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: (I'm not Emo)
I love Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Beethoven etc.
Especially Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations, I find it relaxing and calming.
    Also Yo Yo Ma

I tend to be a fan of any sort of music, but sometimes I get in a classical music mood. Opera is one I enjoy especially, if just regular classical music then probably Erik Satie.

I like classical music. My favourite composers are Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. I also love Mozart because my grandparents always loved Mozart and as a kid I had it playing in my ears

I like Chopin, he's actually from the Romantic Era, but I'll add him.

Beethoven - because WHO really composed it?

The only classical music I listen to is anything related to a violin, my favorite violinist is Lindsey Stirling

    Hey... Classical musicians!!!

New to this forum. I am also a musician. I play flute (since I was 12) and violin. Earlier this year I started classical guitar.
Bach is my favourite but I also enjoy heaps of others.
At the moment I am listening to Bach's prelude 999 from Lute suite arranged for guitar. totally in love with this piece.

    Have a nice day!

Playing music is awesome. It is often like a best friend for me. It keeps me going... even when it gets difficult.
I am not professional but I am glad to keep playing...

    Have a good day.

As much as I've enjoyed historically-informed performances, including of many harpsichord works I'm becoming entranced by Richter's recordings:

I envy that you can play Bach.... hell, that you play an instrument.
