Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't really been as active on here and talking with more of you, but I've just been slowly but surely preparing for the next school year. I usually make a post (or am beat to it) every year around this time asking to see what classes everyone is taking, and to also see for those of us in postsecondary education what majors/minors and focuses you have

To start off, I'm going to be a sophomore and I am currently majoring in Political Science, but I may potentially add Sociology as a major, and Women and Gender Studies or Middle Eastern Studies as a minor. I'm also receiving a multicultural certificate upon graduation which essentially acts as its own minor. I'm taking four classes this year which consist of

    American Sign Language 1
    State Government
Introduction to Political Research (Writing Intensive)
    Genocide, Terrorism, and Civil War

I'm really stoked for my classes this year, especially since my best friend is also in Genocide, Terrorism, and Civil War so maybe even if it is sort of a downer class, it may be interesting and at least I have somebody to sit next to and study with.

So, what all are you studying/taking for this year/semester?

I'm going to be in year 12 (I think the equivalent is grade 11) next year and I'm doing the International Baccalaureate (IB), which is designed so that students have to pick a broad range of subjects.

We have to do sport once a week and Theory Of Knowledge (TOK) twice a week, and we also get to choose 6 subjects for ourselves - three at 'standard level' and three at 'higher level'. There's an extra lesson a week and more content for the higher level subjects. My higher level subjects are english literature, psychology and history, and my standard level subjects are maths, biology and french.

I'm scared of the workload but also kind of excited to have new teachers, new subjects and new friends, even if that excitement does make me feel a bit like a lamb to the slaughter. I'm also waiting anxiously for my GCSE results to be released tomorrow evening...*insert internal screaming here*

I will be entering sixth form (which is a two year school where you can choose subjects you want to study) and I plan on taking Physics, maths and computer science. I am actually looking forward to studying these as it means I will be in a class of people who actually want to study these subjects. But I am really scared that they are to be really hard.

So am I and I am really scared. I don't get to know mine until a week and a half away though.

We have a little different school systems here than in America  I'm a second year student in high school now, which would probably be close to being a sophomore ^^

In this period (We have 6 in a school year), I have biology, geography, maths, finnish and chemistry

In two and a half years, when I have my matriculation examination, I will write finnish, english, maths, biology, physics and chemistry

I'm finishing this semester in my university. The classes I am/was taking were (freely translating)

    Vegetal Physiology 1
    Education Research
    Politics, Curriculum and Scholar Planning
    Genetics
    Electronic Microscopy
    Methodology of Biology Teaching

My grades are fine in all of them, except physiology. If I manage to pass, I'll be able to finish everything and grab my diploma in the next semester.

September 2017 I will be doing an education course at university. This year I'm doing a gap year in Candada - getting a job and volunteering in a school for six months.

Sometimes the class can be super interesting, but feel like an impossible amount to understand and memorize. Been there, done that :frowning2:

If I don't drop and switch any classes, I'll taking (in non bio terms):
    *Bugs
    *Soils
    *Climatology
    *Animal Ecology
    *Plants

I think I'll like all them, but I'm scared of all the memorization :$

I'm heading into my senior year of college (I can't believe it!!), majoring in Elementary Education, with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have 5 classes, plus my Early Childhood Student Teaching this semester (which is just a few hours, a few days a week, for half the semester). This will be my last semester of actual classes before I do my full student teaching in the spring, and then I graduate!

I'm doing three modules in the autumn term:
    History of English
    Great Ideas about Language
    Period of Literature: 1860-1945

    Any other English students here?

I've finally decided to go back to school and start doing something with my life...if you consider starting a history degree at community college doing something with your life.

I'm taking a few crap classes they make freshmen take, and some other stuff:

College Success(basically glorified orientation once a week)
    Speech Communication(required freshman crap)
    Elementary Algebra(remedial math)
    English I
    Ancient and Medieval History
