    Hi yall.

I have been wondering this for a while now. Is possible for porn to change somones fantasies? I say this because im on this type of spot right now.
The only thing that i can indeed masturbate and finish without any other source of material is transwoman. And those last days it started to get more weird. Now i have a strong arousal when fantasizing about doing a blowjob to a transwoman. Even more than going down on a vagina, since it only gives me anxiety. But fantasizing about being submissive to a trasnwoman, suck her penis and being bottom started to get more and more arousing.

And i wonder if this is due my porn escalation, or if its really something i started desiring to do.

No. Porn doesn't change fantasies. If it did, then every gay boy (or girl) who watches a ton of straight porn would turn straight.

However, porn desensitizes people's capacity for arousal, and that's why people move to more and more extreme stuff over time.

So your issue is not that your fantasies are changing, it's that you've so desensitized yourself that you need less "vanilla" things to keep getting the dopamine hit.

This is something you've been talking about for months, and talking about cutting down on the porn you're watching... and it also seems pretty clear that the plan isn't working. So this is probably something to discuss with your therapist.

I am in fact addressing this with him and were finding ways of fighting my addiction. This is more fantasy like, so bc im desensitized not only i seek other things in porn but also in fantasies too?

And i am cutting down porn, im masturbating a lot less and when i do i try to fantasize, thats why the question popped up.

I can't say for sure, but it seems likely that if more extreme porn is required to give you stimulation, then fantasies would probably also follow what's happening with the porn.

That's great to hear. For you in particular, I think eventually eliminating porn might be to your advantage. Also, it may be worth exploring what masturbating is doing for you (other than the obvious.) OCD is a derangement of normal neurotransmitter pathways (among other things). And we know that masturbating (or more precisely, orgasm) stimulates the release of certain neurotransmitters. So it is possible that you are essentially self-medicating by masturbating, to stimulate release of the deficient neurotransmitters. This would be something worth discussing with your psychiatrist. You might be able to get a medication adjustment that could help with that as well.

Sorry but i didnt quite understand. What do you mean by self medicating? And how could adjustment in my meds help with that?

Orgasm causes release of specific neurotransmitters associated with pleasure, calming, and mood elevation. So someone who is masturbating frequently may, without conscious awareness, be doing so in part to get the hit of those neurotransmitters that can provide those feelings. Basically, among other things, reduce anxiety. calm, reduce depressed feelings.

If that's happening, then masturbating is a substitute for having adequate quantities of those neurotransmitters. Getting a medication adjustment (which could mean changing dosage, switching medication, or adding a second medication) could eliminate the need to self-medicate (stimulate release of those neurotransmitters) by masturbating.

This isn't to say there's anything wrong with masturbating or other experiences that result in orgasm. But if it is a very frequent activity, more likely than not, part of the motivation behind that is to help alter mood (as I described above.)

Oh now i understand ans wow it makes so much sense. Now i understand why when i had moments of intense anxiety(or not even that intense) when i realized i was masturbating already. I never understood why something like that was happening.

So maybe if i change my meds i can manage to control my masturbation? To be honest the reason why i masturbate a lot is bc im addicted and bc i feel relaxed liks you said, for a period of time. Thats why i had moments where i would masturbate 7 times a day. I was controling my anxiety by constantly masturbate.

Yes, exactly. People don't commonly talk about this but it is a lot more common than you might think.

    This is very interesting tbh.

So this is something that can happen to everyone that use a lot of porn? To suddenly seek other things in their fantasies as well?

Because theres a lot of people on a forum that im in, and there a lot of people who wrote about testing and having arousal by gay fantasies or something like that. I dont know if this can apply to them too.

So o will try adressing about this addition in meds maybe.

I take two meds per day, one at night and the other by the day.
