So, I'm 17. Haven't had a lot of alcohol, so I really didn't know what I could handle when I drank half a bottle of wine recently and ended up wayyyyy too drunk for my own good. My first thought when I realized what had happened was, "Better call my best friend! He'll think this is hilarious!"

    Boy, did he!

I blabbed on about absolutely everything I could think of, nearly fell down the stairs multiple times, let him fool me into all kinds of ridiculous drunk-texting scenarios, and also told him I was gay... From my hazy recollection, it went a little something like this (slurring and giggling implied when necessary):

Me: Jake....oh my god....I'm so gay...
An Entirely Too Amused Jake: Are you now?
Me: No but like seriously....I'm a lesbian...
    Jake: I accept you!
    Me: No, but like seriously....

Not something I really meant to admit, cause I had realized I'm gay (drumroll please) the same day. Yikes.

He had no problem with it, but I still denied it later because I wasn't ready for that information to be anyone's knowledge yet. Though I have a feeling that now he'll be waiting for me to tell him in a more sober state. Thought some of you might find it funny!

If you ever need to talk about it I'll be here! I may not be out as gay but I was out as bi for awhile and understand the feeling. Are the people around you accepting?

Thanks for your support. The few people I have told are my friends. They don't really understand but are excepting. It is my parents that scare me.

I hope you'll be okay if/when you do come out to them. Coming out is always hard to do but it seems that it's always harder to hide one's true self.<3

    Hello Max!
First of all, I'm glad that you already embraced that you are gay - a lot don't or can't. It doesn't matter what others think, especially when you're doubting yourself.
I think that bottle of wine kind of saved you there  You can use that as an excuse until... well, it wears off. And I guess your friend there will be pretty accepting anyways! He even said it. So don't worry, there's no need to ^-^ Just don't panic much and don't say anything until you are 100% sure and ready to come out!
    Good luck! :fingers_crossed:
