So, as my description on the left says, I'm only out to a few close mates. And, as a trans-girl with heavy dysphoria, it presents a bit of a problem. I have to present as a lad. Worst part, at least for me, is being braless. I feel naked without a bra. Does anyone know how to feel like you're wearing a bra without actually wearing one? Same for skirts. Any advice?

Would wearing a tank top under your shirt help? A lot of times cis women with smaller chests will wear just a tank top with no bra.

Unfortunately, I don't own any tank tops. Sorry.

I wonder if finding some kind of elastic strap and wearing it like one of these heart rate monitor straps might help?

    Not sure about the skirt.

I'd second buying a tank top. If you're not out to your family, they'd be very discreet and you wouldn't have to worry about hiding a bra or worry about someone finding it when it's being washed.

A kilt could work to act as a skirt as well if kilts are fairly common in your area.

Okay. I should elaborate. I don't have any money to spend. I can't go out on my own. All I have clothes-wise is T-shirts, trousers, and other masculine stuff.

Maybe you could wear two layers? I mean, if you can't get any tanktops right now, you could maybe wear some smaller/more tight shirts under your regular shirts?

Hey Jasmine, I don't have any suggestions but I totally relate to what you're saying. Like you, my dysphoria is eased when I wear female clothes. I feel 'right', where as being in male mode feels wrong.

Though you're only 14 it won't be long til you can be more independent and spend your own money on the clothes you want. Do your parents give you an allowance of any kind?

Do you have any t-shirts you can sacrifice? If you have an old t-shirt you can part with, maybe you could cut the sleeves off to make it feel like a tank top and just tell your parents it’s a fashion choice or say you work out or do yard work in that shirt or something to that effect.
