If you do end up getting a hairy back (since it would be really hard to shave) maybe go once a month and get it waxed?

When I was your age I thought I'll have hairy back...It didn't turn out to be that way.
    Don't worry about it.

I guess the only indicator at 14 is to look to your father and grandfather's backs.

Well you're going to get more eventually so you might as well get used to it now. It may just be the one for now so I would advise you to pluck it out rather than shave. Shaving will just make more grow.

Try not to stress over it. I've been getting hairs all over since about your age and I'm quite hairy now. I used to be very self-conscious about it (I blame porn and the media) but I've found that many guys don't care at all and some are very appreciative of body hair. Personally I mostly let it go all natural except that I shave my shoulders and back about once a week, because I do not like hair growing in those places, but that's just me. Sometimes if the mood strikes me I will use hair clippers with a guard and shorten the rest a bit just to tidy it up but it's really not necessary. As long as you make an effort to take care of your body and never "let yourself go" too much I think you'll find that most people will not be bothered in the least by your hair.

I would remove it if I were you. Not to be a bitch but I think there is something "wrong/gross" with how it looks, IMHO. Now, I'm not one of those hairless fanatics...I love hairy pits, pubes, legs, happy trail and some chest (trimmed is my preference tho) but something about the back and shoulders just seems out of place to me.

It may not last though. When I was 19 (that whole year, no more and no less), I got a 10"x8" square patch of hair on my lower back, right about above my pants. I constantly shaved and after a year, it stopped growing back and never came back. Anyone else have this happen? I also was considerably hairier on my buttocks and although that never disappeared, there is hardly any hair there at all now. Once in a blue moon, I discover an isolated, random long, black hair on my back or shoulders but I just pull it with tweezers and then we're done.

I'm the same with my chest hair. I hate body hair especially chest hair (fortunately my back is fine) not just because I don't like the hairy look but the hair can sometimes feel really uncomfortable.

Anyway I've been getting it waxed my the girl that waxes it says each time I've came back, it's looked less hairy so yay!
