    Hey!

Background on me: I’m a 37 year old bi woman, mom to two young kids and married to a straight man. I’ve always known I was attracted to men and women but hadn’t heard about bisexuality until a few years ago. As a child, I just figured all girls were attracted to other girls and that’s how friends were made. Lol! I didn’t know there was a term for my feelings.

I’m out to my husband (fully accepting but straight so doesn’t quite get it) and a married couple that are friends (who both just pretend like I never said anything regarding sexual orientation). It would be so nice to make friends in the LGBTQ+ community. It would be nice to make friends period. So, tell me about yourself!

I like music (Billie Eilish, Halsey, Harry Styles, etc). Have any recommendations?

You'll definitely fit right in here and make some great friends!

A little about me, I'm a 28 year old gay female living in the UK. I work in the fitness industry though currently not so much due to quarantine. Hobbies (besides fitness and exercise) include photography, gaming, the outdoors, listening to music, and travelling.

I'm not sure what I could suggest in terms of music. A lot of what I listen to is less mainstream though I do enjoy a few tunes from Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Sia, and so on.

    Welcome to the site!

Hi! I'm in my early 30s and identify as pan, so I definitely relate to being attracted to boys and girls at a young age without realizing that's what it was.

I prefer Indie stuff and rock to most pop stuff, but I do like Billie Eilish and Adele, among others.

Hey 36 year old female here in MN.
I like all sorts of music but have always loved powerful women artist like Pink, Avril Lavigne, Rachel Platten, Lauren Daigle, Adele, and many others.
4 kids 19,5,4,1 always knew I liked girls but was fearful of parents and others and was taught the traumatic things in my life probably made me feel men were unsafe (therapist) even though I'm with one currently. I've denied myself for so many years and will have to still so the person I am currently with can have his family structure the way he wants it. Totally up for LGBTQ+ friends

Hey! Can I say first that what you're doing is incredibly brave? Because it is. Figuring yourself out later on in life when you have other responsibilities (and literal mouths to feed) take guts!
You're into Halsey?! Love herr. I'd recommend Panic! At the Disco, because the lead singer Brendan Urie is an openly bisexual man, and he keeps most of his songs gender-neutral (so we can fill in the blanks huzzahh :sparkles:). "Girls/Girls/Boys" is a banger.
I'm also into In This Moment, specifically into songs like "Natural Born Sinner" and "The In-Between", though they're a good mix of angsty. Whole bisexual anthems. They helped me channel both my pride and frustrations out.

    Hi.

I'm a 26 year old gay male who lives in the US. I'm an INTJ, selectively social (I can tell you in one hand how many friends I've made these past two and a half decades), an amateur writer (I prefer the dramatic realism/character study genre), and I prefer living in my own little world, surrounded by literature, and most importantly, away from all of the noise.

As for music, I'm a fan of post-punk, goth, and progressive rock. Check out my favorite albums from said genres, if you feel like it.
Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division (Post-punk)
Pornography by the Cure (Gothic rock)
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis (Progressive rock) Their 23 minute epic, "Supper's Ready," is worth a listen, too.

I’m 34, married to a wonderful man, and have 3 children. I just recently, after many years of introspection and inner conflict, came to the realization that I am bisexual. My husband is the only one who knows and he has been so kind and loving. I’m very grateful! With that said, I would like to find some bisexual friends; people who can better understand my thoughts/feelings as a bisexual.

I love a wide range of music but, up until last week, I had never listened to Harry Styles. Wow, what a talented man! I’m absolutely loving his “Fine Line” album. I only wish I had discovered it sooner! :relaxed:

Hi @Songful and welcome to EC.

You’ve come to the right place and you’re certainly not the first person in this situation. I would also suggest taking a look at the Later in Life sub forum, as you will find some similar stories in there.
