Hi everyone, I'm back from a hiatus of about a year. A lot has changed since then. I graduated from university with a degree in social work, with a minor in international human rights and grassroots activism and a thesis on the integration of Syrian refugees in the Netherlands. It took a little longer than planned, but I got there in the end. In March of this year I ran for city council as an openly bisexual democratic socialist and won myself and my party three seats. About a year ago I joined the board of a local LGBTQIA+ organisation. We organise simple events like monthly potlucks, but also LGBTQIA+ classes at local middle- and high schools and other, larger events. Lastly I did a few photography classes late last year and discovered my passion. I'm currently working on starting my own photography business, which involves photography (obviously), restoring, customising and selling old 35mm cameras and teaching photography. Now that I'm back, I'm hoping to resume helping people out in this wonderful community.
