    Were? You mean are, right?
Yeah, easily ticked off by trivial stuff, don't like crouds, can't stand scilence and get super adgitated if there's no music on or something like that. There's a list somewhere back in the thread. No idea where, I just know it's somewhere.

oh hey fellow japanese speaker! あなたはいつに日本語を習うことを始めました?

    ---------- Post added 10th Nov 2014 at 04:18 PM ----------

Oh wait you just answered my question. Whoops, sorry. COOL! I've been learning for six years, and I visited Japan a few years ago! I had a great conversation with a rickshaw puller :eusa_danc

Yeah same here. I have intense interests (obsessive interests, really), I can feel things and see things in a way that normal people can't, and I have mad writing skillz (!) (kiddin', but I do write often, and have won a few awards).

BUT there are also many negatives, which aren't very cool :icon_sad:

Thanks!! Apparently we're not allowed to write in other languages in these threads, so I'm switchin' back to English  Yeah, I've been learning for a while - it's great to meet other speakers! :icon_wink

I find people's knowledge of Asperger's patronising, especially now that tv and film are scripting in so many autistic characters. Ok, they don't always state it outright, but it's clear through the behaviors etc of the character that they are trying to portray an autistic mindset and some of these portrayals are just not fair. Not only are they inaccurate, they are helping fuel people's ignorance that we are some kind of unemotional, monotone robots obsessed with data and unusual topics.

Okay, index cards are amazing. I took my set to school and I was like yeah, these are disco. I know what you mean about them being less 'notepad-y'. I was able to do two decent things instead of none during school, probably because I was less fussed than normal about it being absolutely perfect. Thanks internet, I love you.

It's hard to make a crane out of a rectangular piece of card, and one that is small too. Have you heard the thing that if you make 100 or 1000 (can't remember which) cranes you get good fortune? Wait, digressing again.

I've speculated before whether or not I'm on the autism spectrum, but that's mostly because of my social problems and I was diagnosed with ADD when I was ten. I find it interesting there's more of a correlation with autism and trans men, but I'm skeptical of self-diagnosing even though my therapist brought up I should be tested. Hmmm.
