I admit YES! even if I'm around with other people I still get the feeling of loneliness but sometimes I pretend to get busy so the thought of it won't hurt that much. But I accepted that loneliness is part of life, of who I am so I must deal and accept it as much as I accepted happiness in my life.

Not always. i have great friends and family so they help. But when I stop ignoring that I am gay I realize how alone I really am. i never feel truly alone because music is always there for me, but I could really use some human compassion from people who won't judge me. A boyfriend would be nice as well :roflmao::help:

The only reason I feel lonely is because of my depression side effects. But a girlfriend would be nice right now.

I guess, yeah. I just want to curl up with someone and know they will still be there in the morning.

I feel very lonely mostly because I only have one true friend and that one person hurt me in a way that I will never forget but funny enough she also happens to be the only human being I trust

VERY!!!! I'm a little depressed from it too. I had a couple of breakdowns last weekend because of this (along with some other things). #ForeverAlone :tears:

I've met a few of people that I can categorize as acquaintances and hangout buddies, but I don't really have a single close friend. Couple that with the fact that I live in a rural, homophobic Southern town, and that I have never had a boyfriend, and you can easily see how lonely I often am. That's one reason I joined this forum. I was looking for a new social outlet. I have been a member of a few online forums, but the drama got to be a bit much for me, and I decided to seek greener pastures.

Not so much lonely, because the few people I've told have been amazing, but I still feel so alone. Maybe because I'm married and my wife is having a hard time accepting who I am. One thing changed, and I know it's big, but my feelings for her have never changed.

I feel very alone. No one around me is gay, or questioning. It's isolating to be the only gay person in my immediate surroundings.

    Yah, I'm lonely.
Last week or a little bit before that I felt quite lonely. So a guy on another forum tried to hook me and a friend of his together. The guy told me 2 days ago it won't work, apparently I'm too emotionally immature for him.
Might be true, but nah. I'm positive and such.

Atm I feel less lonely for some reason. But I would still love to find a guy to date and maybe sleep with. By sleep, I mean sleep :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
    But also sex of course.
Want a guy who I can cuddle with, sex with, watch movies with and just have nice times with.

Sometimes I feel extremely lonely even when I'm surrounded by other people but it's a lot less now than it ever used to be. I can't think of many times as a teenager that I didn't feel lonely but now it's only the occasional thought.

I suppose it depends on your perspective but if you put too much thought into it and the idea that nobody can ever really know how anyone else thinks or perceives reality then loneliness can feel like a permanent part of life.

In my experience, being open with others about your loneliness and the emotions that come with it, is a good step towards getting away from it and making close connections that make you feel good about life.

Yeah. But that's because of my social anxiety disorder.

yes, in several different situations I have made eye contact with different guys but do not know how to more forward. It is like I freeze up. Perhaps it is a lack of confidence. Please give some input.

    Thanks

You're not alone in respect to your post my friend.
A guy who was working with us two weeks ago kept saying I was younger than I said and must've said it half a dozen times. He also said I'd kept my baby face.
But like a fool I put the barriers up and just wanted him so sod off.
