Are closeted, married people generally happy?

    I am also married (over 30 years) and Out (for several years)to my wife and a few friends. I do love my wife and enjoy being a husband and father. We have a great relationship . Lately though my feelings to have a relationship with a man have grown more intense. I have a need to explore these desires more fully. We have friends of ours , another couple, where the husband came out to the wife. They have since divorced, he met a man fell in love and married . This has both inspired me and scared me at the same time.

    Gayhusband....I can understand how the desire to be with a guy can be very hard to deal with. I am dealing with that problem by, as another poster so politely put it, being "autosexual". This works very well for me, but in no way would I insist that it is a solution to anyone else's problem. I do so hope you can find a way to work out the difficulties that you are facing. ....David

    Yes - I'm the poster who used the term in a different thread as an adjective (and not as a label) to describe sexual expression through self-gratification because it seemed more polite/appropriate than masturbatory.

    Hello All....I rather like the term "autosexual". I have made the comment on another thread that I no longer think of it as masturbation. To me it is sex and it is better than anything I ever had before. ...David
