I can assure you that there's no credible argument to be made that cassette tapes or VHS tapes are in any way superior to their digital counterparts. For cassettes, the signal to noise, distortion, flutter due to tape transport, and degradation of quality over multiple plays make them a pretty limited resource. For video, at least you don't have the flutter (it's all digital) but you do have dropouts and very low resolution (substantially lower than DVD, which is, in turn, substantially lower than HD, let alone 4K).

There's a theoretical argument to be made for vinyl, though it's a flimsy one, that's too nerdy to really get into. And the same theoretical argument can be made for 15ips reel-to-reel tape, but nobody uses that.

But the nostalgic feeling could make me ignore that. At least for cassettes.
