Umm I don't mind certain rappers. I like Kendrick and J. Cole. Drake's pretty good too. I don't really listen to a lot of rap these days though :/

Some rap is OK. But usually I only like rap sections of songs, rather then full on rap songs.

But as for full rap songs... Lotus Juice is the only one I listen too. And even him I don't listen to much. (Yeah its mostly just his Persona stuff, lol)

Some rap songs I enjoy listening to, but for the most part I can't stand it. Some songs I have no clue what the lyrics are because they sing way too fast for me.

I've yet to meet someone that likes hip-hop as much as me so I can say I like rap. I've been to a bunch of shows, they're my favourite shows actually. People wouldn't think it but a hiphop concert is one of the most relaxing things you can experience.

    Favourite artists :

Aesop Rock, Aceyalone, Atmosphere, Biggie Smalls(haha), Cunninglynguists, Cyne, Dark Time Sunshine, Cise Starr, Dem SouthernFolkz, Hieroglyphics, K-OS, K' Naan, OutCast, De la Soul, Digable Planets, The Fugees, Raashan Ahmad, People Under the Stairs, Thes One, Binary Star, Decompoz, Sunspot Jonz, Living Legends, The Grouch, Zion I, Slum Village, Visionaries, Sto the 89th Key, Ohmega Watts, Kevin Brown, Little Brother, Phonte, Big Pun, Mobb Deep, Substantial , Da Bush Babees, Das EFX, Nappy Roots, The Roots, Jurassic 5, Geoff the Whooligan, Damu the Fudgemunk, Pharcyde, Quest Love, Kooley High, D.I.S.D, Eyedea

There is so much more, that's just off the top of my head, tried to do it alphabetically, but gave up.

    I really mean I'm a massive hip-hop head.

I can't even listen to pop hip-hop because it bothers me so much haha, minus Biggie Smalls and Lil Wayne, they're tolerable.

Best Rap Songs of All Time, I think anyone could appreciate these. They're the most intelligent songs out there, literally, for all genres. I keep posting them because I feel people aren't bothering to even listen. Music can be really good and intelligent.

Theres a lot more, I like conscious rap, and hate that people think rap is this lower form of art, when it's actually one of the most diverse, and again intelligent forms of art when it comes from the right people.

Eminem, Kanye West...etc they're all jokes, this is real music, not that.

Only if it is mixed with metal or rock.

Let me start off by saying, Young Money has ruined rap. Nicki Minaj is especially atrocious, and Lil' Wayne should have stopped years ago. And Drake, he has some tolerable beats, but his lyrical content leaves much to be desired. He isn't the worst rapper, but he is by no means the most influential or impressive either.

That said, I enjoy rap quite a bit. It's something I grew up with.

    Some of my favorites:

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - "Stress the World":
A great example of intelligent rap, with a killer beat.

    Arrested Development - "Tennessee":
A classic... well, for those who like rap. Sick beat, enjoyable lyrics, and a reminder of a time when rap was more thoughtful and upbeat.

    Goodie Mobb - "Dirty South":
Probably a little too "rough" for many here, but the beat is sick, and I miss this type of ironic message in rap songs. See, the casual listener would think, they're being literal here, but they're actually pointing out and referencing what is/was wrong with the American South.

Bone Thugs 'N Harmony - "Weed Man":
Bone Thugs 'N Harmony aren't like most rap groups. They tend to have a melodic flow when they rap, which is pretty neat. This has to be one of the most relaxing songs they have, but at the same time it makes you want to do something. I have fond memories of this song.

Notorious B.I.G. - "Party and Bullshit":
Sick beat, great delivery. I can relate to this song -- not entirely, there are some differences, but much of it I can -- in my past.

Tupac Shakur - "Keep Ya Head Up":
Beautiful song that talks about the self-destruction that can, sadly, dominate black American culture. Lots of love for the women.

Mobb Deep - "Shook Ones, Pt. 2":
Fantastic song, but a morbid one. It doesn't glamorize the "street lifestyle" either, which too many rap songs do nowadays, which makes it stand out.

    Kendrick Lamar - "Money Trees":
Not exactly the best lyricist, but he has some pretty bumpin' beats. This is one of his better songs, I think, which talks about class divides in society. Also some resentful irony in the lyrics, which, again, I wish more rap would utilize as opposed to the "All Me" nonsense (*cough*Drake*cough*).

    Three 6 Mafia - "Stomp":
I don't know what happened to Three 6 Mafia, but they've lost a lot of their edge. While not known for their lyrical prowess, they had some of the darkest beats. This one samples the "Unsolved Mysteries" theme, which is already an awesome theme.

    Oh, I almost forgot:

Gangsta Boo - "Don't Stand So Close":
The fact she rolled with Three 6 Mafia is impressive. I have no doubt she would destroy Nicki Minaj. Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj are just killing me...

    Those should suffice.

I generally hate rap but admittedly like a few Eminem songs: Mockingbird, Hailie's Song, Lose It, Love The Way You Lie, Monster, Lose Yourself.
