Just got this game and loving it so far!!! The rewind time mechanic is pretty fun, the characters are enjoyable and the music is really soothing! I like that choices are having consequences so far! I'm only on episode 2 so no spoilers please haha
I played through the free demo 1st chapter and enjoyed it. My computer ran a bit slow though, so I may wait until I get a new one before I buy any game to play properly on steam
I played the whole game and honestly its "Good", but I find it really REALLY Overrated. Some parts are poorly written, and the whole game has A LOT of plot-holes that dont make sense. I guess the "High School/College" environment and "LGBT" theme saves it. Dont get me wrong, its "Good", but many call it "Masterpiece" and I disagree. PS: Yes, the Rewind thingy is cool. How many times did we want to Rewind IRL to fix things? I guess a lot heheh. Edit: The game just feels kind of "Rushed"... As if Developpers cared about posting the Episodes in time instead of making it a MASTERPIECE. The game could be really really famous, it had the POTENTIAL, but they failed at it. But again, dont get me wrong, the game is "Good".
We had a spoiler thread awhile ago after the final episode came out. Lucky you didn't see that. About the game, I think it is a great game. It has its own problems, yeah, but the emotional impact feels real. Its the kind of ride that really hits you in the gut with all the feels. I mean, after playing it and looking at it logically, dissecting it objectively, examining it scientifically, there are many shortcoming underlining it. But the feelings when you play through the whole thing the first time is an experience worth treasuring. You know, like after reading a great book, you feel like there is something in you bloom and take your breath away. This game is one of those, just in a game form. Have a great time with it.
I haven't played it but heard a lot of good things about it. End of this months it will be available in Germany for ps4 and I've already pre-ordered it.
I finished playing it and I loved it. Sure, in terms of gaming it's average, but the story got me hooked and the main characters feel real. I've always liked time-travel/butterfly effect based stories. Oh and the music is amazing.
I already had the first chapter and I went ahead and bought the rest on steam. I will let you know how it goes.
I thought it was a very nice game, with great dialogue and characters, but the plot felt a little weak, and the ending felt rushed and incomplete and (maybe just for me) a little too predictable. Episode 5 felt just a little weird as a whole. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the game and the characters and I had a lot of fun playing it. I have recommended this game to many people. If you are willing to accept its limitations it's a fantastic game.
I really enjoyed it, agree that the 4th and 5th chapter felt weak, but Chapters 2 and 3 were incredible for me, gave me a very strange sense of sadness that I've never ever experienced from a game - even though it's over I still occasionally think about it - which is pretty special.
I played it and I loved it. The characters felt real and the soundtrack is just amazing, the songs fit the mood and they're beautiful. It's rare to find a game that has such a great ambience - I really got into it and forgot about time (now that sounds kind of ironic when said about this game) while I was playing.
Awesome, I think RainDreamer's description in this thread is so absolutely spot on. The game does have shortcomings but there's just something about the whole experience, it's really hard to pin point exactly what - but it left me feeling so unbelievably emotional, and so often really down and sad - even at times when sad things weren't happening, there's something incredibly humble and melancholy about the world and the events, - it had an incredible impact on me and I felt empty when it was all over. I also found it hard to move onto other games afterwards, they almost all just sort of felt childish in a way, no game has ever made me feel the emotions that life is strange did - and that's incredible for a game.
Re: Anyone else play 'Life Is Strange'?! Honey, I don't have to play it 'cause I live it every day...no really.
