I just got back from an errand. During the errand, I ran across someone whom I casually know, and we talked a few minutes. And for the first time ever, I actually allowed myself to talk about LGBT issues. Mostly same sex marriage, both on secular level, and also what's going on in his church. No more of the quick, "I support equality!" and then a fast change of topic.

Again this might seem like small step to some, but I feel like I'm definitely moving forward. These small steps actually let me be at least partly honest for the first time ever. That is taking huge weight off me. And it's one step closer to blowing the closet door to smithereens for once and all.

  3. Congratulations! It may seem small, but every journey begins with a single step. Keep up the good work.
