Another question: What's it like to kiss a woman?

So today I have been doing some life admin and backing up the files and pictures on my laptop and I stumbled across another poem. It's one I wrote before I met my girlfriend about the thought of having a girlfriend in the future. I wondered whether you guys wanted to see it, but don't worry I won't be offended if you don't.

 

Obviously, the answer is YES

 

Of course we do!

 

I often wonder if you're out there, I always hope and pray
That maybe if you are I'll get to meet you one day
I wonder where I'll find you and what your name might be
Of how we'll get together, and what you'll see in me
I wonder about your hair and the colour of your eyes
If this day should come it'll be such a nice surprise
I wonder how it'll feel when you take and hold my hand
And hug me because you want to, not because it was planned
I wonder what it'll be like as we lie in bed at night
I imagine your arm around me holding me so tight
I wonder how I'll feel to know that you chose to be with me
And hope I can bring happiness to you eternally

I wrote something sorta similar (but very badly written HAHAH) a few months ago. ill share

 

This is what I wrote a few months back. I write more essays than poems haha. More like declarations for the universe (I'm into all that The Secret stuff lol):

"I dream of coming home to you after a long day of work to find you asleep on the couch with the TV playing in the background. Your hair is across your face and you look at peace. You’ve had a long day too, but you’re home. I dream that you come home to find me in the same position someday.

I long to wake up next to you in the morning and see the sunlight warming your skin, framing your beauty. Your smile soft and your eyes bright as we look at each other in comfortable silence.

I wish for long car rides where we sing at the top of our lungs, annoying anyone who is with us but making each other laugh until our cores hurt. Singing songs from all our favorite movies and the top hits from our youth. Making funny noises and voices and doing interpretative dances to the lyrics.

I yearn for the joy we feel when we’re with each other and our families. Cooking holiday meals together, decorating our home for the occasion, shopping for our loved ones in unison. Celebrating life as one.

I relish in the thought that no one understands you better than I do, and that no one understands me better than you do. We have inside jokes that to others seem foolish. We can predict each other’s behaviors without so much as a look. We get each other.

I ache when I think about the fact that I have your full support, and you have mine, without question. We’re each other’s rocks, and no one can take that away from us.

I think of all of this and I dream and long and wish and yearn and relish and ache for you, but I don’t know you. You are a figment of my imagination. You are a faceless entity. Still, I love thinking about you."

 

I think its well written, never stop dreaming about her, she is out there somewhere dreaming about you.

We're sharing poems now? I'm much more a free verse person, but this is what I wrote a couple weeks back:

draw close to me
fold me in your embrace
tender and gentle and secure

draw love on me
caress and knead and paint
with whispers of desire and need

draw life from me
find passion and fire
and dissolve into bliss
*************************

(and now I'm thoroughly embarrassed and blushing)

 

I love it!

We should all get together and release a poem and essay book for frustrated bi/lesbian women hahaha
