    Hey guys,

I had a question regarding anal masterbation. I've previously used a banana unpeeled and stupidly without lube. It was quite painful, but I didn't have any blood or anything afterwards. I did feel a bit sore for a day or two after internally.

Can anal masterbation with large objects like this cause damage internally which can lead to erectile dysfunction?

    Appreciate any help
    Cheers

Yeah I bet that hurt like crazy, always use lube.

Can you hurt yourself doing anal with objects you shouldn’t be using? Absolutely!

In general does anal sex or masturbation cause erectile dysfunction? No.

Thanks so much for the reply. What ways can you hurt yourself more specifically? And have you heard of any ways it could cause erectile dysfunction?

The only way it could cause erectile dysfunction is psychologically that you're too scared of sex to get an erection after being in pain during sexual things like that.

The most common injuries are tearing or cutting the tissues in the anus due to too much force, which is quite painful since it's like slicing your arm with a razor blade but inside your body where you can't reach it instead. It also can cause internal bleeding. Or the object can just literally get stuck in your anus too far for you to pull it out and a doctor will need to remove it for you. A banana was a terrible choice for this by the way, since it's so soft it's extremely likely to break off and get stuck.

Thanks! Yeah it was a shocking choice. I was just worried that I may have damaged my prostate or something like that as I felt sore in that region for a day or two after before it went away. Any ideas as to what it might have been?

Most likely just minor bruising and the muscles stretching further than they're used to. Just like your arms hurt after lifting weights sometimes because the muscles stretched, the anus can hurt from stretching too.

I think this should go without saying, but it should probably be said. Don't insert anything anally unless it is designed to be used as such. Imagine losing said banana and having to go to the ER and having it extract piece by piece because it is unlikely to stay together inside you, I have no idea how it stayed together upon insertion. For safety sake, use something with a flared base to prevent it getting lost inside you.

Prostate massage, aka, anal is good for you and won't physically cause ED. I can only speak for myself, but I don't get erect when using an anal toy or prostate massager even though at times I do climax during this kind of play, erections rarely happen for me in this instance.

Most often ED is psychological. Although other issues like diabetes, can cause ED.

No, it has nothing to do with erectile dysfunction.

Sorry you hurt yourself. To enjoy anal masturbation in the future, I recommend getting a toy with a flared base and a water-based lubricant. Don't stick unsafe things in your butt. Only things that were specifically engineered to go up there.

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it. That is a relief. Has anyone else had a similar type of soreness like I did in the prostate region?

If the soreness has passed and you have no ill effects you probably got away with it this time, but don't use banana's or anything other than sex toys (or a sexual partner) in future. It's really not a good idea! Always use lube for anal play, be it with toys or another guy.

Naw, if you had hurt yourself this badly you would have been in the ER long time ago.

    Are you still experiencing soreness?

Hope the OP is feeling better now.

On another note....I've seen a video of someone using an unpeeled banana....I know it can be unsafe but it was TOTALLY HOT!!!

I am 53 and still wake up hard every morning, even after the number of times I have been penetrated and some were not too nice about it.

Maybe try using something smaller for masturbating, it should hurt less. The few times I have done it, I used the handle of a toothbrush (one I no longer use for brushing my teeth).

What is a good substitute for anal masturbation if you don’t have access to toys? I would really like to know what a prostate orgasm feels like but don’t have the option of buying toys.

Prostate orgasms are really hard to achieve and it takes practice, so don't be sad when you first try it. It is a good idea to explore your own body, learn what you like, and learn how to please yourself.

Toys are of course the best way to go about it, but here are things to keep in mind if you want to play with something else
    • Item has to have a base to it. Its easy to lose your grip on an item once you apply lube and you really don't want anything to get stuck up there and end up explaining it to your parents. So whatever you use, it has to have a large base that wouldn't be able to go in (this is the reason why most dildos will have the balls as a base for dildos)
    • Use lube so you don't hurt yourself. KY will do for now and you can buy small bottles at most convenient stores. If you can't buy lube, then none-scented hand lotion, cooking oil and coconut oil are common ones. There are some good guides online. Most household lubes are not safe with condoms (they will weaken them) so make sure you get real lube when you are ready to play with another person.
    • No sharp edges. You need the thing to be SMOOTH. This includes no wooden anything because of splinters.
A toothbrush is actually a good option as long as there are no edges that usually come with cheap toothbrushes, you use a condom with it (if it has those rubber things), and don't go too deep at first since some can be long.

The best thing you can do is put a condom over whatever is you want to play with. It will protect your from bacteria, easier to clean, and will smooth out some edges (seriously don't mess with edges, you will cut yourself). The first item I ever used was a very smooth key chain from a store, a toothbrush, and a very thin candle.

Younger finger is also a great way to start!
