Facts About Me: -Attracted to males -Enjoys cross dressing but has no courage in public -No gender dysphoria -Regularly wishes was born female -Prefers feminine activities -Mostly female friends -Wants to transition but has no faith in gender identity -Wishes for physical female attributes so female clothing would work -Doesn't care about genitalia, could do with either Am I a transgirl? Should I transition? Sorry for this post but I need help. BtW currently between gay effeminate male and trans straight female.
I think most people in your position would identify as trans female, but how you identify is up to you, and you know yourself better than anyone else. Would it make you happy to identify as a trans woman (or girl)?
Also, keep in mind that no two transitions are the same. You may or may not choose to be openly female or openly trans. You may or may not choose to change your name, your pronouns, or your wardrobe. You may or may not choose to go on hormones, or have facial feminization surgery, or top surgery, or bottom surgery. There are many ways people transition. You might train your voice, wear makeup, feminize your body language, or have feminine hair. I chose to transition because there were many changes I wanted, and knew those changes would make me happy. I also didn't want to not transition, and was sick of pretending to be male and police everything about my appearance so people would stop assuming I was a gay man. I wanted to look female and for people to see me as a woman, and I wanted to be open about my attraction to women (I couldn't bear to say I was straight because I knew I was lesbian). My transition included becoming openly trans and female, going on hormones, getting facial feminization surgery, feminizing my wardrobe, feminizing my speech patterns (but not my voice-I don't care if it's obviously modified by testosterone), growing out my hair and getting highlights, shaping my eyebrows, shaving my whole body quite consistently, getting laser on my face and other body parts, starting to wear makeup and jewelry, and exploring and pursuing whatever else I want in life, like building relationships, having sex, being open with my feelings to myself and others, and growing as a person.
