Today at work, a coworker called me sassy. This isn't the first time a girl has called me sassy, but I looked it up myself and it generally means that I'm full of it.

I love making people laugh and all, so I'll make fun of anyone (girls more actually). You could say that I'm more comfortable with making fun of girls because I grew up with all girl cousins (I'm the only boy). I'm the type of guy that if I hang out with anyone long enough, I can absorb some of their traits like a sponge. I'll find myself saying and doing things that other people do,

So what does sassy mean when it's directed to a guy (I'm straight btw, although it shouldn't make a difference)?

Whenever my friends throw around that word they're just pointing out the wittiness of a person's conversational replies and retorts. Cheekiness is a synonym for it I'd say.
I don't think the word necessarily has bad connotations attached to it.

Usually I'm really polite. When I start getting quicker responses and being snappier with people, it's usually because I'm the verge of exploding in rage at them. It's at this point that people start identifying my behaviors as "sassy," which just throws more fuel on the fire.

I get sassy a lot...but i just think it comes from me being quick and witty tbh because i'm not femme or camp at all.

If you´re straight then no wonder they don´t call you whore. Girls want to get even with you by calling names, because you are smarter than them....so don't worry

I agree with Raiden. It may have had negative connotations in the past, but these days a lot of people use it describe people who are witty, sharp and perhaps a little outrageous. That's not necessarily a bad thing! Unless I felt like they said it in a particularly nasty way, I wouldn't be offended.
