How happy can people be if we don't get to be our real selves w/o worry of hate? When people can really do that, I think they can be better off in all areas of life. It really kills our spirit when it's never allowed to fully shine. Or like a flower bud held inside a tiny cage, never allowed to expand and open to its full beauty and potential. It's tragic, all the beauty and love the world never got, due to all the anti-LGBTQ+ hate and other ways people have been extinguished.

Watching Charmed has me wondering who decided that certain clothing choices were appropriate. Phoebe frequently wore things that weren’t really everyday wear and some of Paige’s work outfits were definitely questionable. The clothing got better as the show went on thankfully.

Thinking about how good and accurate this expression is - "if you love someone, set them free."

I don't think being gay is the problem for me, as guys are hot and amazing in many ways, it's the questions about me that I don't want to get. It sucks and life would be a little easier as Kinsey 0, but I still don't think ltr would have been possible or kids. Even adopted/foster, I don't think I can fairly do for the kid or myself. It's too bad as I'm actually pretty awesome but got damaged beyond repair.

Nah come on, you're not damaged beyond repair and you can still have a long-term relationship. What questions do you not want to get?

Is my mother right that the only reason I’m not miserable is I don’t know what I’m missing. I’m sure that I am resigned to the life I have. I know what I’m missing and I know I can’t have it.

I feel like society has become more transphobic.

There's a good chance I'm just going to start crying when it arrives at my house.

The ophthalmologist I see once a year is really annoying. Last year he told me they could do surgery to fix my right eye that doesn’t look straight anymore but it could make my double vision worse so he wouldn’t. This year he told me I have a small cataract in my left eye but surgery could give me double vision so we’d just leave it. So how bad does it have to be before you fix it.

He apparently hates the thought of you having double vision. So sorry.

I've been in a similar situation with a Dermatologist. Well two actually, and that is the problem. I had initially visited one that is supposed to be "the best in town." I was later told I could not have certain procedures done because of my status as a non US citizen. I decided, after a few months of throwing a tantrum about it, to go to a competitor who didn't care at all about my status as a citizen. But then I realized my insurance carrier would not cover the procedure I needed. So I went back to the first one, had to choose a "lesser procedure" and hope it works. I'm six months into this process, and currently in a state of scheduling limbo.

I also know this feeling. Had to be diagnosed with a totally unrelated condition. This allowed me to get treatment without cost from my provider, if not I would have had to pay a substantial amount for it monthly. The unrelated diagnosis does have a negative effect on insurance cover, but what can one do ....
