I hope more tv shows and movies with LGBT characters follow in heartstopper’s footsteps because of its positive impact.
I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it, because I was struggling a lot during my high school years and uni years so it's difficult for me to watch something involving characters of that age going through something so wholesome and positive. Personal issues aside though, I'm happy the show is bringing joy and representation to lots of people. Overall, although I haven't seen it, from what I've heard and read it's a hugely positive thing with a hugely positive message. You know that Leonardo DiCaprio meme? The one where he's pointing at the TV like "yeah. That right there." That was me. The show was something I'd recommend to anyone. You'll get hooked by episode one.
By the posts, I am guessing this is the show on Netflix. I have seen the title and thought about watching it but I have had a difficult time of late getting into teenage drama. I may have to try it soon based on y'alls reviews.
