"In a landscape of queer stories shadowed by suffering and sorrow, Heartstopper is a breath of fresh air with its depiction of the queer experience. Many shows depicting LGBTQ+ characters often have said characters going through numerous trials and struggles, never getting to truly enjoy their romance.

I hope more tv shows and movies with LGBT characters follow in heartstopper’s footsteps because of its positive impact.

I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it, because I was struggling a lot during my high school years and uni years so it's difficult for me to watch something involving characters of that age going through something so wholesome and positive. Personal issues aside though, I'm happy the show is bringing joy and representation to lots of people. Overall, although I haven't seen it, from what I've heard and read it's a hugely positive thing with a hugely positive message. So definitely happy it's out there, even if maybe it's not for me at this point in my life.

I respect other people's preference for happy stories, but, personally, I prefer sad ones.

Mid-May, I saw an influx of people saying "Heartstopper's the show of the year." So I checked it out. Totally worth it. Heartstopper is a perfect show. I saw all of these happy queer individuals living their lives. There were some parts of homophobia but I think it adds to the show's "slice of life" feel. Also, Nick Nelson's bisexual journey... You know that Leonardo DiCaprio meme? The one where he's pointing at the TV like "yeah. That right there." That was me. The show was something I'd recommend to anyone. You'll get hooked by episode one.

By the posts, I am guessing this is the show on Netflix. I have seen the title and thought about watching it but I have had a difficult time of late getting into teenage drama. I may have to try it soon based on y'alls reviews.
