Well, That Was Unexpected

    So, my wife and I were having a rather serious discussion about something tonight when she made an offhand comment that gave me pause. I decided to probe some amd asked, "Are you telling me that you are bisexual?" The answer was yes. I just had to laugh and flop back on the bed. She said, " That was hard to tell you." To which I responded, "Oh, I have some idea how hard that was." and proceeded to tell her that I am bi too. Long story short we both feel like a weight has been lifted. We both texted our daughter in college. She's bisexual too but it is not everyday when mom and dad both come out. She told us that she is gender fluid to boot. Weird night. So, I get to change my profile to out to a few people.

    Huge weight lifted for me. Her too. Now I can freely be me and that is more than i could've hoped for. Now just to tell my parents and my two kids from my first marriage. The one we told last night is actually my stepdaughter but I've been dad since she was four and she legally changed her last name to mine after she turned 18. I'll probably tell my ex just because I don't want to put the kids in any weird position.

    bsg75apollo.....This is the domino effect! :old_big_grin: It makes me feel so good to hear how this all is happening. We so rarely hear wonderful things like this and I am so glad that you are sharing it with all of us here on EC. We really do need this occasional shot in the arm of goodness...of things working out for everyone as opposed to what we so often hear instead. What has happened to your family proves that, while rare, this kind of thing can happen and a family can be 1950ish TV sitcom "Leave it to Beaver happy!! :old_smile:
