    That's cool! Band and Choir Directors are the unsung heroes in the teaching world if you ask me. My middle school choir director helped me better understand how harmony works (and help keep me sane during a crazy time haha). I can't play but two instruments decently lol. Piano is hard for me because I barely know how to sight read. Also guitar is my primary instrument besides my voice so my left hand lags my right on piano. I'm a classically trained singer though- I was fortunate to get lessons, especially with the teacher I had (she only takes three private students). I'm kind of retired from music too for now, since my own voice makes me dysphoric sometimes. It's one factor in why I might wait until starting Testosterone. After a name change in the program for a performance once I experienced a bit of pushback from some veiwers, that's why if I ever perform how I want to again I'm staying anonymous.

    I couldn't either, music calms me down and can bring me out of a pit. It's in my veins. You don't realize how powerful music is sometimes- it's very healing.
