Not entirely sure what you mean by sweet tea. If you mean black tea (PG, Tetleys, Typhoo etc) that is sweetened by a teaspoon (or two) of sugar, then I spent over 40 years of my life drinking it.

But a couple of years ago I gave up the sugar. Had to do it very very gradually, but I did it in the end!

I don't like sweet tea. I think you are referring to iced tea. I prefer it unsweetened so I can add healthier things to sweeten it up a little.

When people have it already made and already sweetened, I might accept a small glass and sip it very slowly. People in the South seem to have it ready in the fridge when it gets hot and sticky during the summer.

I drink sweet tea every day. That and coffee are two of my biggest obsessions.

I rarely drink sweet tea from restaurants. I prefer organic sweetened tea at home.

Well I’m a Southerner and I feel offended/stereotyped by this post. Haha, just kidding. The stereotype isn’t true btw, I absolutely hate sweat tea, some herbal teas are good hot, and coffee is god.

I like it but I prefer hot tea without sugar. Earl grey overall.

I had no idea sweet tea was a Southern thing, if I'm being completely honest

I like plain iced tea. My father and I used to make sun tea in the summer. A cold glass of it is something I still crave every now and then.

I would also like to mention that one my favorite stand-up comedians Hal Sparks has a fantastic bit about sweet tea, but... it's a bit more abrasive than I remember. Just know that, if you like sweet tea (or Starbucks), you're probably going to feel a little sting.
