Just called my bank to address my recent name change and they asked if i was nonbinary. We are living in the future y'all. I cannot believe how much things have changed since I first joined EC as a scared kid almost 10 years ago.

Here's my thoughts for the moment. My dear colleague but first and foremost great friend just reached a milestone in her life by finishin' an invention she's been buildin' on. She keeps on impressin' me in succeedin' in life and her creative thoughts and ideas goes is truly astonishin'. It ignites a wee tiny spark within me where I hope to be able to come out to everyone as trans (MtF.) I've come far already, as far as my family knows and most of my friends. I've managed to build a small 2nd wardrobe of mine. Yet I long for more and whenever I try to peek beyond that horizon, it fears me. Sensitive as I may be, I'm doubtin' that I'd ever feel fully secure to drop the bomb and say: Hey, just do it and don't care about what others might think. I love my little wardrobe (not sure what those are called but I bought a tiny wardrobe protected by a cover, enough to hold a few clothes within it.) but I'm hopin' and thinkin' of how great it'd be if I didn't had to use it and let my clothes hang free from hidin' within my actual wardrobe already:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:(A)

*Sees an article talking about womanhood*

First thought : Oh, that doesn't apply to me.

Me, remembering that it technically does : Wait hang on

I keep having a She / Her VS She / They crisis. Maybe I'm just better off not overthinking it and living however feels right. Sometimes I'm a woman, sometimes I'm just not a man I guess? Am I non-binary? Hmm. At this point, lesbian feels like a gender identity sort of, if that makes sense? I can't really relate to femaleness in the sense a straight woman does. Gender non-confirming? Hmm.

I'm really bad with relationships. Even at 46 years old you would think I would've figured it out by now

Try not to be too hard on yourself. Relationships are a two way street and sometimes our expectations and how we have imagined things get in the way. If they don't work out or something doesn't fulfill an expectation, it just means we have to learn more about ourselves and others.

Wondering how leggings and sweatpants became the height of fashion for everyone I know. First time ever my sister and I actually bought the same pair of pants despite having vastly different tastes in clothes. I mean she has borrowed (stolen) clothes from me before, but they were usually gifts I’d received and not something I chose myself.

I got to drive through a nighttime desert storm. Had to go 15 miles under the speed limit because the wind was so bad that I was getting blown all over the road. Scattered showers too so bad to constantly change my windshield wiper speed.

Why do companies that make socks insist on putting those plastic barb fasteners through multiple pairs of socks? Not just once but often two and three times? Now all my socks start off with holes in them... There's got to be a better way

It’s nearly the end of June and the weather hasn’t been good enough to sit out in the sun. I have a romper hanging on my wardrobe door that I bought last year but never had the opportunity to wear. I wanted to go on a summer holiday last year but COVID happened. I would kill for a week or two in Crete. Or any country who doesn’t pride itself on the fact that it rains all the time so everything’s green enough for the nickname The Emerald Isle.

I'd take the clouds and rain anytime.

Where I'm at, it's been very warm (more like getting to be hot) and dry. I just hope that the above normal temperatures are not going to last for too long.

All we get is rain, we spent all winter getting weather warnings and stories on the news of somewhere else in the country flooded. I’d love to visit somewhere dry and warm. It’s annoying trying to do everything in the rain. Great for plants though.
