I can barely move or do anything, I feel completely broken. Life has lost all meaning and everything is empty.

edit to say: I am doing things, parenting abs arranging everything for my partner and whatever else I have to do. But I feel dead inside.

I am sorry for your loss.

Right after a loss like this is the most difficult time. I am glad that you are getting help in dealing with the things that need to be done. Take time for self care, it is important. I was widowed in 2003 and I also went through very difficult times, things do get easier to deal with as time goes on.

    I’m sorry for your loss.

I know there’s nothing that we can say that make things better, but as @QuietPeace says above, take time to self care and spend time with your daughter, as I’m sure you are doing. When I suffered a bereavement a couple of years a go, spending time with my daughter as normal as possible did help. I appreciate that it’s not easy though.

I just want to offer my sincere sympathies and express how sorry I am that you have lost your partner.

I wish I could offer some decent words of comfort but alas at times like this there are none.

I send healing thoughts your way and hope that each day, little by little, you begin to regain your strength and heal so that you can accept and adjust. Easy for me to say I know.

I’m sure your partner and yourself had some awesome times and made lots of happy memories. Hold on to those memories and know that you can still talk to your partner and they will hear. You have a beautiful guardian Angel by your side, always.

    Much love and light.

@baristajedi , I'm so sorry. You seem to live life fully, and right now that means being in the depths of grief. I hope some part of your being recognizes this as the present time, and knows you won't always feel like you do now. When it's my turn to grieve, whenever that may be, I hope you'll be able to be there for me just as I want to be here for you now.

I am so sorry. My heart breaks for you. Like everyone else on this thread, I send support and warm kindness your way. Grief is indescribably horrible. May peace return to your heart as soon as your heart is ready.

So sorry to hear this Baristajedi. I know from my own experience how overwhelmed you must be feeling now.

Have you got friends in real life who are helping you cope with the day to day stuff - the funeral, parenting, and all the administration that you have to do in this situation?

Sending you love and strength and the hope you can navigate a way through all of this.

Hi everyone, I’m so sorry I’ve not checked in. I’m just kind of in an abyss of sadness and I’m most days just curling up not moving but of course functioning when needed. I’m not doing well... but I’m trying. Thank you all so much for the love and support, it really means a lot even though I’m so rubbish at responding right now.
