This is my first pride month officially being out and accepting of myself etc. What do you normally do during pride month or what are your plans?

Never do anything for it and that's the plan for this year as well.

Ironically my bf and I were going to go out for Pride in 2019, but decided to stay in (little did we know ahaha). Here, at least in my city, the main things to do are the parade and go to the gay bar for those of drinking age. Think they also had festivities (for everyone) at the bar during the day

Nothing at the moment. I think a lot of events, and not just pride but generally, were cancelled earlier on the year.

Some things are being planned at work though, so might take part in those if have any time available.

Do you have anything in mind, @Lemony?

Unfortunately many Pride events in the UK have been cancelled this year due to the ongoing threat of Covid-19, so I am unlikely to do anything in person. If there are any online events that catch my attention I might take part.

I don't have any big plans. May post a happy pride month banner on Facebook or something but other than that nothing exciting.

I think I am just going to live life and be grateful I can be seen as normal throughout this month due to the many people before me who have made the world a more accepting place. I like to just prove that you can be an average person and be gay...

I wanna wear my bisexual flag and rainbow stuff and dance to lgbt music with my ally Mum and dog. Maybe have a pride themed day.

Not sure. I'll be celebrating it in my heart though!

I can't really do much here since I'm not out and not on campus where the GSA is, but I'll also be celebrating it in my heart! Sort of a tradition for me is to learn about LGBT+ history, especially because a lot of it is new to me and it's easier to find stuff about it during pride month. While I do this in general, I also like to celebrate with my favorite LGBT+ books, movies, etc. Those are honestly a big part of how I learned who I am, and it's just nice to be able to read or watch something relatable like that, so revisiting them is pretty cool and I'm super grateful there's things like that.

I'm not sure what I'm doing for pride month, but I'll at least be celebrating the fact I'm LGBT at least! I've never been to an in person pride celebration (or one online), but I'd really like to!

I've never been to one in person either and honestly I think I'd mainly just do a small, low-key one with close friends if I did. Crowds in general are not my scene, so while Pride is cool, idk if I'd actually go to one of the big parades.

Yeah! They seem fun, but I'm sure I'd get overwhelmed with the crowds too haha

I intend to give one final attempt at addressing the elephant in the room with the loved ones in my life who still haven't come around. Then it's off to the clinic with my therapist's letter to do whatever it takes to get this weight off my chest...COVID kind of put my transition plans on hold.

Besides that, maybe my sister and I will watch some LGBT content and work on queer-themed zines. I'm also planning on opening up shop on social media for anyone that's specifically looking to buy from queer creators during pride.

I always make a point to listen to some LGBT music throughout the month.

Normally I'd go to the main Pridefest event here (this is a case where I actually kinda enjoy the crowds), but I heard it was cancelled again this year & they will be doing some sorta virtual pride thing instead. (no interest in virtual)

There's 2 other pride events in other towns here as well that I sometimes attend, one in August, one in September... I heard the September one isn't happening, but don't know about the August one.
