I got Harry Potter bedding for Christmas, so I can’t agree with you.

I never understood the Twilight hype.

I can’t agree with the two people above me because I was a die hard fan of both Harry Potter and Twilight since book one of each series. I’m talking queuing up before midnight to buy the next book the minute it was released. I doubt my mother was as thrilled as I was with these midnight buys but I was the bookworm who rarely asked to be driven anywhere while she played taxi to my siblings.

The "Am I a Lesbian?" masterdoc is not the holy book so many LGBT people seem to think it is. It was a personal evaluation from a 19 y/oTumblr user, for crying out loud--not an end all, be all guide on whether you're bi/lesbian.

(To say nothing of the reek of political lesbianism present throughout).

I wonder how many of those political lesbians were already bisexual or lesbian? Can't see how a 100% heterosexual woman would be able to substitute if they were turned off/neutral towards the same sex

It annoys me how shows I watch keep throwing a lesbian in and suddenly an established character who showed zero interest in the female sex previously, figures out they like girls. For instance Willow in Buffy. She only dated guys had only shown interest in guys and she was super in love with Oz. Tara shows up then Willow is a lesbian. Bisexual would make more sense but she states she’s a lesbian. I like the representation in all these shows but the plausibility could use a little work.

To be fair, it does happen. Women do realise that they are lesbians later in life, having previously only shown interest in or having had relationships with men. I genuinely thought I was straight until I was around 28 years old. So, whilst I appreciate that it depends on how it’s portrayed, I don’t agree these characters identifying as lesbian is less plausible than them identifying as bisexual. Both are entirely possible.

I don't find either Jamie Dornan or Dakota Johnson from "50 Shades" to be interesting or sexy. Pass.

This one is not unpopular, but maybe not the majority opinion. On the right person, eyeglasses can make someone hot or hotter.

Oh, so that's what this masterdoc business is about! I kept hearing about it on social media (the algorithms seem to have picked up on the fact I'm not straight and I keep seeing videos with people mentioning a lesbian masterdoc). Admittedly, I wasn't sure if it existed or if it was some kind of joke I was not in the know about. Go figure it's a Tumblr thing.

    ---

As for my unpopular / controversial opinion ... I don't like neopronouns. I think they're too abstract and not practical.

Honestly, I wish things like that were a joke. But guaranteed some people would still take them seriously.

Also agree with your opinion. It causes unnecessary complications and just comes across pretentious at this point.

I loved the new IT movies for what they were, but they completely butchered the story.

I hated Les Miserables. I didn’t even stay there for the whole movie, I probably missed about half of it. First and only time I’ve walked out of the cinema before the end. I should have known I was going to hate it from the title. I also hated the whole thing was sung.
