I don't have much time for reading generally except for work, but in fact at the moment I'm enjoying working my way through the Henry Rios detective/mystery series by Michael Nava - and if you don't know these you're in for a treat: superbly written, starring an gay and out Latino main character, and written by a gay and out Latino author. I'm also (v...e...r...y slowly) reading Milton's "Paradise Lost", and to fill in odd gaps of my time, bits and pieces of gay erotica; some published and in edited collections, others not.

Amulet by Kazo Kibuishi. Its a graphic novel series with fantastic art and interesting story. Younger reader friendly if you have kids, different dimension and a type of magic from stone amulets. Lots of interesting characters and settings.

Monstress by Majorie Liu. Grim dark fantasy, old gods, war, with open lesbian relationships and marriage. Not for younger people as it does get gory and quite violent in places. Fantastic art work.

One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus. It's a YA murder mystery that is a sequel to her previous book One of Us Is Lying. I like it so far. Hoping it's as good as the first one.

The creative curve by Allen Gannett. So far I've progressed 1/4 of the book, and I've learned that geniuses are mostly nurtured.

I've kinda taken a general reading break at the moment, partly because my dad works from home and while it's not something obviously gay or exclusively about gay romance or something, I just don't really feel like explaining it lmao. Or all the other stuff going on in this book and this series. And partly because I'm just debating whether I want to reread this right now or pick up one of my new ones. Idk at the moment.

But re-reading the All For The Game/Foxhole Court series by Nora Sakavic. I'm in the earlier part of book 2 rn. Say whatever yall want, but these books are actually refreshing imo. Despite - and arguably because of - all the wild shit that happens in them. I'll say it's definitely not boring, cliche, or predictable, and that's one reason why when I first got these, like many other fans I binge-read the series in a quick matter of days.

If I decide to drop this reread for now, I've got sort of a list of priority to-reads. Of course at some point during this year I plan to do my usual reread of Simon vs., since I love that book and it's sort of a comfort read for me. I especially like the humor and the realistic dialogue, so to me even if I reread it like a million times it doesn't get boring. I might wait till the fall to read it tho because of the vibe (tm) and because it'll provide a nice break from schoolwork and is an easy, chill read for me. I mean, I always read for enjoyment, but like. I don't know if I really want to read a new book or a long book while I have college classes - with readings and shit - to worry about.

As for other to-reads, I think the next one will be Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, Soul of an Octopus by SY Montgomery, or By The Silver Wind by Jess E Owen (4th book in Summer King series). After that, or maybe before depending on when my book gets here and bc it's a fairly short book, it'll be Underhand by MJ Isaac.

Just finished A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters. A historical mystery set in England and Wales in the 12th century.
A great reading. As if it was written for me and my interests. It was very well-written and a bit difficult for me as it has many new words.
The series has 20 volumes and I look forward to continue the journey with the monks of Shrewsbury.
Has anyone happened to read the Chronicles of Brother Cadfael series?

I read multiple things at once.

    Each day I read
One Chapter from Tao Te Ching (trans. Derek Lin)
One days readings/meditation from 365: Tao: Daily meditations by Ming-Dao Deng and The Tao of Joy Every Day by Derek Lin
A few pages from The Qur'an (trans. M.A.S. Abdel Haleem)

Normally I then also read from a book list that I have put together, I combined 13 or 14 "100 books everyone should read" lists and came up with about 750 books. Additionally I sometimes add my own to the list. The last book I completed on the list was Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. The book that I am reading on that list is Suite Francaise by Irène Némirovsky - I have finished book one in the suite and will continue with book two later.

but instead of reading from that list right now I am reading one recommended by someone
The Art of Happiness by Howard Cutler and the Dalai Lama

I am also reading a bit each day for my own interest in
21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card by Mary K. Greer

I love Radclyffe! I’ve read a few of her novels. I have not read that one. It’s been a while since I’ve read any of hers.

Is it good? Do you like Georgia Beers? I have seen her books on amazon but haven’t read any yet.

Yeah I like her books, I love a good love story. I’ve read most of her books. Hopeless Romantic was good but I found 96 Hours really interesting. It’s set in Gander during 9/11 when all the planes had to land there. Her kindle books are a little expensive but way cheaper than a physical copy would be. The author Sheryl d Hancock has a series called the Weho series and her kindle books are cheap. Her sex scenes are a little unrealistic but the storylines are okay.

The one that takes place on 9/11 sounds good! I might check it out. I have not read any lesbian themed books or love stories in a while but I am thinking of giving that genre a try again. I have read some by Radclyffe in the past and liked them.

I started but could not finish My Early Life: A Roving Commission by Sir Winston Churchill. I got inspired by him from series 'The Crown'.

Night of the Dragon by Julie Kagawa. It's the third and final installment in a series involving Japanese folklore in a fictional Japan (Iwagoto) and absolutely wonderful. <3
