Hi everyone, I am a queer woman in my late 30s living in America. I'm out with a few people but most assume I'm straight as I'm currently married to a man. I've been having a harder time ignoring my desire to date and sleep with women, and this place was recommended as a safe place to strengthen my connection to allies as well as talk about maybe coming out as lesbian. Thus far I have preferred the word queer as I don't really see the value in getting overly specific (no offense to anyone that does find value in it), but I am considering ending my marriage so a large umbrella term isn't likely to work so well for my own thinking. Thanks for a safe place to learn and grow.
I posted on your wall as well, but reading your initial comments garners a ((momhugs)). This site is incredible and I just know you will helped along from others. ((momhuhs))
Hi there and welcome to Empty Closets! You have come to the right place to find some answers and perhaps gain some insights into taking the steps in being yourself.
Hi @QueerYogi and welcome to EC. I realised my sexuality whilst in a long term relationship with a man and you’ll find lots of other people on EC who are or have been in a similar position. I hope that you find EC to be supportive.
