Well my interests are mostly wishes and beyond my reach for now. Not interested in repeating the long list of long-waited wishes again and again before making enough effort to fulfil them.
For now I am interested in focusing on my career as a programmer. Read British classic novels. Learn calligraphy/cursive. etc. I have a violin and I haven't practised much with it. I hope I'll be able to give it more time.

I study the history of funeral practices/rituals and mourning clothing across different cultures and social classes. With my research, I also dip into gender studies a little bit given the topic. I also love watching historical costumers on Youtube and dreaming about all of the clothing I will never make

I used to have a very long list of hobbies and interests. But not anymore, because i am now depressed and have given up altogether.

My former hobbies and interests were: Play piano, play clarinet, singing, dancing, badminton, reading, writing (poetry, songs, short-stories), acting (theater), listen music, watch movies and series, learn english, gardening, and many other things.

Nowadays i lost interest in everything, it seems like i sleep and 'binge-eat' my days away. And that's how it will be for seemingly forever. I can't remember the last time i had the motivation to do anything else.:disappointed:

    Sorry for being a 'debb

Reading your post, I was reminded of a TED Ed video on the history of cemeteries. If you don't mind me asking, what interested you in the study funeral practices/rituals?

I am very interested in etymology. My friend can even vouch that I will randomly look up the etymology of certain words during our conversations. It's just so neat to see how languages change over time, and how they're connected to other languages!

That's fascinating! Studying the origins of the words and how they were constructed is a very useful tool in order to understand in a better way the meaning of the words. Actually, all the fields related to Linguistics are very interesting (at least for me).

Foreign languages, listening to music, making music, and traveling are the big ones.

And a lot of other stuff that I don't do at the moment, but want to do again one day.

I just logged on today and saw this but it started with a general interest in dress history. I did some civil war reenacting with my cousins when I was in high school and sewed all of my own clothing. I then started asking questions about what would happen when soldiers in the war died and found out that the height of mourning clothing was between like 1850 and 1910. I thought all of the fabrics used were really interesting and just eventually ended up on that weird side of youtube with a bunch of morticians. I'm also just interested in how other cultures mourn their loved ones and the differences in mourning between social classes in the late 18th century/early 19th century. There's also just a bunch of hidden messages on different types of gravestones that I think are interesting to read up on.

Reading (mostly non-fiction, science, philosophy), learning about music theory, instruments, tinkering around with electronics. These days it's been harder for me to engage with hobbies so lately the default has been gaming and sometimes writing but I try to read more often.

I like to read a lot all fiction and mostly romance, and I read so fast by now I can read about 600 pages a day. I like playing games on my switch but it’s pretty much Pokémon all the time. I’ve recently trying to find my ancestors online. My country has the1901 and the 1911 census available online. My dads side was easy to find but my mothers family is impossible because she doesn’t know the exact town. I like playing with my dog. I’m trying to find things to watch but even with three subscriptions there’s nothing. Sleeping is one of my favorite hobbies but it’s not going well.

Wow. That means you can read one book per day or even more...
I think I read about 150 pages during a day, once or twice this year. It was so interesting in those parts and couldn't put it down and wait until the next day.

I read two maybe three books a day. If it’s a new book or really good I’ll read more than usual. I feel like buying books is a waste of money but it’s cheaper on a kindle. I think 150 pages is a good achievement. It took a long time before I realised that not everyone enjoyed reading and even longer to realise that spending all my spare time reading taught me to read faster than most.

Maybe you play the audiobook at 1.5x speed or something like that to save time and read more speedy. I heard some people do that when watching YouTube videos.
It was a fantasy series and it was really interesting parts so I read all of the day.
I hope I can boost my reading speed too.
