Kamala's who I wanted for a while. I've been impressed with her as a senator so I'm quite happy.

And now we get to see Pence go up against Kamala in debates which should be quite the pleasure to watch.

I like it, because she seems like a fierce competitor and sharp wit. I think the campaign needs someone like that - especially after the Trump campaign has long been painting Biden as a wishy-washy befuddled old grampa.

I can't speak for her political views and motivations per se, I know she's not viewed by some on the left as a progressive. But these days beggars can't be choosers.

It doesn't matter who he picked, it would never satisfy everyone. The important thing now is that people get past all of that and vote Trump out because he has been an unmitigated disaster. The world (not just the US) cannot afford four more years of Donald Trump.

That hits the nail on the head for sure. Regardless of people's differences and opinion of Biden & Harris, everyone who dislikes Trump needs to team up in a collective effort to get him out. There's time to debate one's individual politics later on but this is a time where that needs to be put aside for the greater good. Whilst I would have preferred other candidates for President & VP, I'll happily support them both if it means we can bin the Donald. I have confidence that this can happen as it was hardly a landslide victory for him last time.

Yes! I think Harris is a great pick. I could see her one day being president.

I really hadn't seen a lot from her until recently. Bernie was my horse originally in the primary, so I didn't watch much of the debates, only read about them afterward in the newspaper. I got a chance to listen to her convention speech and I thought she sounded pretty solid. We'll have to see what the Republican party can throw at her and how she handles it. I'm optimistic though. I'm with Patrick; I'd be awfully disappointed if we had another four years of this.
