Hi, I was in a similar position (although married for 7-8 years) and decided to leave my wife (I’m a man) about 6 years ago. It was an incredibly tough time as we had a baby son but without doubt was the correct thing to do! Please ask me anything and I will try to help you. X

I have things to finish working out before I would be emotionally ready to date. I have no idea how to go about it once I am ready.

It is scary. It's frightening. I was married for over 30 years. She took so much advantage of me because I knew that leaving meant dealing with my attraction to men, which I just could not handle. So I dealt with the injustices over and over, until I found some courage (through graduate school actually) and I realized what I had been through and decided I'd had enough.
