Is it just me who hates Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays and other days of celebration?

Maybe I'm just lazy but I always dread looking at the calendar and seeing any of these days (except Christmas). Spending money on pointless gifts, waking up early etc. All a waste for me.

I wouldn't call it a self-entered thing as I don't even like to celebrate my own birthday and prefer to keep it as uneventful as possible.

I accidentally caused an argument between my two engaged friends recently. They were arguing over who I'd make the cutest couple with (since I'm the perpetually single one of the group) and it was amusing how invested both of them were in this.

    "How about (name)?"

"Are you kidding me? They're complete polar opposites!"

    "Exactly, it's a classic formula"

"Yeah right, that'd be a terrible mixture"

"It'd be interesting though, wouldn't it?"

"Yeah until (name) would totally mess it up"

"How about (other name)? *Goes into a long list of reasons*"

Me: So is there a notebook I should know of, or did you just have this list mentally prepared?

I'm not sure if I'm depressed again, or if this is the same depression as last time...

I'm glad its summer time, but I really don't want 80+ degree days yet. I don't like it that hot.

You put a cat into a box. Seal up said box.
    The cat could be alive.
    The cat could be dead.
Both scenarios are true until you observe the inside of the box.
Now you put a cat into a box with a machine.
The machine could fire and the cat is alive.
The machine could fire and the cat is dead.
The machine could not fire and the cat is alive
The machine could not fire and the cat is dead.
All four scenarios are true until you observe the inside of the box.
Now you know that the machine will release poison gas when it fires.
The machine could fire, releasing the gas and the cat is alive
The machine could fire, releasing the gas and the cat is dead.
The machine could fire, but not releasing the gas and the cat is alive.
The machine could fire, but not releasing the gas and the cat is dead.
The machine could not fire, but the gas is still released and the cat is alive.
The machine could not fire, but the gas is still released and the cat is dead.
The machine could not fire, not releasing the gas and the cat is alive.
The machine could not fire, not releasing the gas and the cat is dead.
All eight scenarios are true until you observe the inside of the box.
Now let’s add in getting scratched:
The machine could fire, releasing the gas and the cat is alive. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could fire, releasing the gas and the cat is alive. The cat having not scratched you.
The machine could fire, releasing the gas and the cat is dead. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could fire, but not releasing the gas and the cat is alive. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could fire, but not releasing the gas and the cat is alive. The cat having not scratched you.
The machine could fire, but not releasing the gas and the cat is dead. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could fire, but not releasing the gas and the cat is dead. The cat having not scratched you.
The machine could not fire, but the gas is still released and the cat is alive. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could not fire, but the gas is still released and the cat is alive. The cat having not scratched you.
The machine could not fire, but the gas is still released and the cat is dead. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could not fire, but the gas is still released and the cat is dead. The cat having not scratched you.
The machine could not fire, not releasing the gas and the cat is alive. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could not fire, not releasing the gas and the cat is alive. The cat having not scratched you.
The machine could not fire, not releasing the gas and the cat is dead. The cat having scratched you.
The machine could not fire, not releasing the gas and the cat is dead. The cat having not scratched you.
All 16 potential scenarios are true until you observe the interior of the box.
Yes, I know that the being scratched or not is outside of the observation range(The Box and it's components), But Heisenberg dictates that anytime you observe a closed system, regardless on how said system became closed, you must bring in any external sources into the potentiality of outcomes.
Again, the more additional variables you add in, the more potential outcomes you get.
Also, each time you add in an additional variable, the number of possible outcomes is 2 to the power of however many variables you have.
Yes I am very much oversimplifying Quantum Mechanics here, but as you can see the more variables you put into a scenario/environment, the more potential outcomes that you get.

If I would have a boyfriend, that boyfriend would feel neglected by now. It was one of these weekends where I needed to be in a different world - yep, sat on the couch and read for most of the weekend. Though I feel ready to be fully engaged with the real world again, a part of me could continue reading.

Should I just transfer, even if the competition is insane and I constantly doubt myself for everything?

It's Monday. Now I have to stop obsessing over thoughts about my sexuality and my relationship and think about work. Yay me?
