Hi! I’ve just posted for the first time (on the “Sexual orientation” section; awaiting moderation) and, as I already said enough there, I’m simply announcing here that I’ve joined this great community and that I’m really happy that it exists. Thanks heaps to all the people that make it possible! I’ve struggled for many years to understand my sexual orientation entirely by myself and I’ve come to a point in which I’m totally sure that I can’t do it alone anymore. If anyone has enough time to read my insanely long post there (after it’s greenlighted), it’ll be very much appreciated because I obviously need support. I’d love to contribute actively to this site in the future. But before that happens, I need to accept and love myself, as well as learning more about LGBTQ issues.
Hi there, and welcome to EC! Joining the community is a great step for you to have taken. It takes courage to start writing/talking about your experiences trying to understand what it all means. You have started to walk on the path of self-acceptance. It might take a while and there might be a few twists and turns, but you will get there. Welcome aboard.
Oh, I hadn't seen this! Hi again, Mirko. The beginning of the path is being way less awful than what I expected. It almost seems that I was scared for no reason... Oh, wait, maybe that means that being non-straight is a non-issue. Kaboom! I just blew my own mind. Ha, ha. I wish self acceptance was that easy. And thanks heaps for welcoming me, LostInDayDreams and musicteach. I'll keep posting ridiculously long texts in my first thread, if anyone wants to drop by. Writing these things out is extremely helpful, but it gets even better with the feedback of more knowledgeable people. ^^
Hi Lyman. Maybe you're verbose and confused but you're writing's clearer than mine! It's been great to read longer threads someone has really thought about. I'm sure there are others; I just haven't found them yet.
Hi, Meleager! I see you're new too, so I'm going to see what you have posted to have an idea of what brought you here. At the moment I last posted here, I only had my original thread, which I'm using like a journal. But now I also have this other thread, which is the first one in a series of threads in which I want to address very specific issues that can be useful for me and for others! Thanks!
