Anyone ever get them and get turned on? I do and I'm a lesbian. I just wonder if this is normal. I fantasize about two women, of course but sexual fantasies about a woman and a man turn me on and even when I am the woman! I know it's so weird because I'm a lesbian and I'm sure of it because I don't want to have sex with a man but I fantasize about it and get turned on but don't want it happening for real.

I think there’s sometimes a big gap between fantasy and what you would actually want to happen, and that’s ok.

And I think there are lots of different things to focus on within a heterosexual fantasy, i.e. more on the man, on the woman, ... so I imagine it could work for a lot of people, regardless of sexuality.

It is totally normal! I am the opposite to you. I have the occasional gay fantasy.

A long time i thought that gay fantasies were a precursor for being gay. That combined with porn use i found that really confusing. I have realised only just recently it isn't. I didnt have any desire to have sex with men and that confused me even more. So for me, I just label myself mostly straight.

It is all just fantasy at the end on the day. It is completely different to real life.

What about getting turned on? Is it normal to get turned on when a gay person fantasize about sex with the opposite sex or when a straight person fantasize having sex with someone who is the same sex?

Everyone is different, so I think it would be very hard to define a “normal”. It’s not unusual to have a fantasy that you wouldn’t want to happen in real life.

Is this worrying you for some reason?

I never have had fantasy about straight sex, it is always sex with a man,
I’ve never had sex with a man , I can’t figure it out either !
I can’t wait until my knight in shining armour sweeps me off my feet!

I'm a lesbian and I know for sure that I don't want to have sex with a guy, but I do have straight fantasies some times and I think that's ok. I've got no intention whatsoever to make them come true.

Not "worrying." Just wondering because I didn't think gay men even fantasize or get turned on thoughts about sex with women and vice versa for lesbians. Glad I asked though because now I know it's not unnatural.

Fantasies may not always be the best indicator of what you want. It can be what you find hot, but would not try.
