    Well, it's that time again.

FYI, I have changed a couple of the original questions.

    1. What was the biggest change in your life this year?

    2. What did you do over the summer?

    3. How were relationships with boyfriends/girlfriends?

    4. What news story sticks in your mind the most from 2019?

    5. Favorite song/artist from the year?

    6. Did you make any new years resolutions and if so, did you stick to them?

    7. What are you most proud of personally this year (i.e.- something you have done)?

    8. Who are you most proud of (can be a famous or non- famous person)?

    9. Did you have to learn any hard life lessons in the past 12 months?

    10. Have you had any life-changing experiences in 2019?

    11. Did you do anything you never thought you would do?

    12. Did you gain any new qualifications?

    13. What is your happiest memory from the year?

    14. What were the best and worst months of 2019 for you?

    15. What was your most stupid incident?

    16. What things do you appreciate most in your life at the moment?

    17. What are/were your plans for Christmas/ new year?

    18. Are you making any new years resolutions for 2019? What do you hope will be different?

    19. How do you rate 2019 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best)?

    20. Will you still be on EC this time next year?

    1. What was the biggest change in your life this year?
    Graduated college after 6 years.

    2. What did you do over the summer?
    Tons of depressing job searching.

    3. How were relationships with boyfriends/girlfriends?
I ended an almost 8-year relationship. We’d been drifting apart for some time but it was okay in the end. I realize now that he fell in love with the manic side of me with my spontaneity and off the wall humor and put up with my depressive side. When I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and put on the right medication, both of those mes went away. I’m not dating anyone else and probably won’t for a while but I don’t regret it at all.

    4. What news story sticks in your mind the most from 2019?
The fire at the Notre Dame cathedral, the Hong Kong protests, and impeachment.

    5. Favorite song/artist from the year?
Pop music is so bad these days that I don’t really have one.

    6. Did you make any new years resolutions and if so, did you stick to them?
    No because I never do.

Hands down graduating college. I survived! I made it.
    8. Who are you most proud of (can be a famous or non- famous person)?
My aunt for getting through all the deaths in the family this year. She’s very emotionally fragile.

    9. Did you have to learn any hard life lessons in the past 12 months?
Everyone you love is going to die and it might be sooner than you think.

    10. Have you had any life-changing experiences in 2019?
    Nope.

    11. Did you do anything you never thought you would do?
    Nope.

    12. Did you gain any new qualifications?
    My bachelor’s degree.

    13. What is your happiest memory from the year?
The Patriots winning Super Bowl LIII.

    14. What were the best and worst months of 2019 for you?
The best month was April because of graduation and the worst month was October because that’s when my uncle died.

    15. What was your most stupid incident?
I began having a pus discharge from my belly button in the summer and the doctors told me it was probably an abscess, which is a common complication from abdominal surgery (I had a hernia repaired in 2017.) They sent me to a surgeon expecting that I’d need to be operated on. The surgeon took one look at me and diagnosed it as granular tissue (a form of scar tissue), which he easily removed and the problem was solved. Needless to say I was very very very relieved that I wouldn’t have to go under the knife again.

    16. What things do you appreciate most in your life at the moment?
    My health and my family.

Not really. I’m hoping to find a full time job in the near future.

    19. How do you rate 2019 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best)?

I don't remember them if I made any.
    7. What are you most proud of personally this year (i.e.- something you have done)?

    8. Who are you most proud of (can be a famous or non- famous person)?
Off the top of my head I want to say my friend Nikki, the other day I saw someone correcting someone else who misgendered her and I felt really proud of her for being more out I guess.

My family is more racist, sexist, and anti-LGBTQ+ than I thought :/

    Realizing I was trans.

    13. What is your happiest memory from the year?

    14. What were the best and worst months of 2019 for you?
Worst month would be June, that's when my foster brother had to leave after three years when we thought we'd adopt him. Granted that's also the last time I cut, so that shows things got better. Best might be August, that's when we wet to Germany, and my friends and I got to go on a road trip which was fun.
    15. What was your most stupid incident?
I asked my mom to come over and look at something on my computer and realized I had a tab open that was a google doc titled "The ABCs of Queer" and she almost saw it. That would've been hard to explain.
    16. What things do you appreciate most in your life at the moment?
My friends. They helped me talk to my parents about seeing a therapist, they've put up with all my rants about mostly my family, and they've excepted and supported me.
    17. What are/were your plans for Christmas/ new year?
We drove to Mississippi to visit my great-grandma, great-uncle, grandma, grandpa, and my aunt, uncle, and cousin came as well. I was going to have friends over for New Year, but they were all out of town or busy.
    18. Are you making any new years resolutions for 2020? What do you hope will be different?
If Taylor and I could start actually dating that'd be great. Or at least a kiss? Please??
    19. How do you rate 2019 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best)?
6, the beginning was shit, but it got better.
    20. Will you still be on EC this time next year?
    I sure hope I am.

Many. The most unexpected being that even the LGBT+ community is pretty judgemental and considers people like me largely an 'outsider'.

Many. Moving into a QPmarriage, becoming genderqueer, and falling in love with a tulpa-like being.

    1. What was the biggest change in your life in 2019?

Being a lot more organised for one thing. Have you ever gone through a video game level more than once, and you're surprised by just how much easier it is the second time around? That's basically how the start of my second year of University felt. Don't get me wrong, I can still be a mess, but I think I handled things a lot better than before.

    2. What did you do over the summer?

Oh wow, that feels so long ago now. I remember going paddle-boarding quite a few times. Also I went on holiday.

    3. How were relationships with boyfriends/girlfriends?

Still single. Whilst someone was briefly interested in me, that didn't go anywhere. Maybe one day I'll have a relationship.

    4. What news story sticks in your mind the most from 2019?

The unbreakable windows of a Tesla being broken.

    5. Favorite song/artist from the year?

I was into various songs from The Regrettes, Scott Helman and sometimes Rare Americans.

    6. Did you make any new years resolutions and if so, did you stick to them?

Not that I know of. There was a general goal I set of improving on my cooking, not a new year's resolution though. Anyway, I technically improved, perhaps not quite at the rate I'd intended, but at least it's something.

    7. What are you most proud of personally this year (i.e.- something you have done)?

I made a short film. Directed, acted in, wrote, and organised a team of people. I feared that it was going to backfire spectacularly, but the final product actually went quite well.

    8. Who are you most proud of (can be a famous or non- famous person)?

Hmm. A friend of mine who managed to successfully code and design a game whilst still keeping up with University work.

    9. Did you have to learn any hard life lessons in the past 12 months?

You can know someone for a long time, without ever truly knowing them. Sometimes the calmest people are actually the most anxious.

    10. Have you had any life-changing experiences in 2019?

I made a lot more friends if that counts.

    11. Did you do anything you never thought you would do?

Yes. I went to a rave, a drag show, pride, and even a gay bar.

    12. Did you gain any new qualifications?

No but I'm working on it.

    13. What is your happiest memory from the year?

Whenever I saw my friends smile or perk up when I entered a room. It just feels nice to know that I've made someone happy, even it's only partially. Swimming in a private pool on holiday was quite nice also.

    14. What were the best and worst months of 2019 for you?

Eh, there were highs and lows. I enjoyed the Summer, mosquito bites and sweltering weather aside. The colder months have been busy.

    15. What was your most stupid incident?

Not looking for actors sooner, and having to act myself to fill in a role as a result, in my short film.

    16. What things do you appreciate most in your life at the moment?

Having access to food, water, and shelter is good. I also appreciate that there are people in my life who care what happens to me. Who believe in me and offer support. That keeps me going when I want to give up.

    17. What were your plans for Christmas / New Year?

    I spent time with family.

    18. Are you making any new years resolutions for 2020? What do you hope will be different?

No. I want to improve in general life skills, and just gradually keep improving as a person to the best of my ability. But I don't want to make any resolutions specific to this year. I'm not expecting leaps and bounds, but small consistent steps to where I want to be in life.

    19. How do you rate 2019 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best)?

    8.

    20. Will you still be on EC this time next year?

Possibly not. I've been visiting the site less these days. Don't feel as connected to it as I once was.
