Gay vs Homosexual

I personally wouldn't consider calling yourself homosexual to be an issue. It's a label and if that's how you choose to label yourself then that's what it is. I'm uncomfortable calling myself a lesbian because it's used as a noun and I'm more than my sexuality. I prefer saying I'm gay over saying I'm a gay woman because I don't think it's necessary to define myself as a woman in that way. For me, homosexual, gay, and lesbian all describe me but I'm just more comfortable with calling myself gay.
